I got here from a recommendation on Discord saying "don't watch if you don't want to sob your eyes out" and that was a fair warning for sure! I really loved the line of "Why can't I let go of this?" and using that glorious long interlude for historical flashbacks. Beautifully done!

I love the main line of 'It hurts to be something, it's worse to be nothing with you." It really portrays the fact that it hurts for Aziraphale to be something up in heaven while it hurts for Crowley to be nothing to Aziraphale anymore. Truly having a mental breakdown because of the depth of that line and how close to the show it hits. Genuinely such an accurate representation of what they're experiencing, and well done on your ability to portray these emotions so smoothly in such a fluent animation. Wonderful job, and have a great Valentine's day! 💖

the "it hurts to be something" on aziraphale's side is so peak, i feel like it speaks to his lack of confidence loving a demon and how he thinks it contridicts his desire to be meaningful and good. and for crowley, "its worse to be nothing with you" is amazing because i feel like crowley has always wanted forgiveness but he realizes he wants aziraphale to be with him, and not having him is so much worse than being nothing.

and "resist temptation" being at the scene where aziraphale eats food for the first time, a time he was tempted, and him sitting next to crowley; something that tempts aziraphale to leave his path of righteousness is crowley.

This made ME cry personally because I was recently in a relationship where I compared us to them all the time (I, Crowley and my other, Aziraphale) just cause it was silly and it made us happy, and I really thought I wouldn't ever worry about that making me sad. I thought we had eternity like them. But in the last couple of months our lives got turned upside down, and neither of us are stable or good for each other like this, and it ended up having to be me to break up with him (the roles switch was incredibly ironic I know.) We are still friends and it wasn't anything messy, we just have a lot of growing up to do. But this song and these characters really made me sob because.. I didn't break up with him because I didn't love him anymore, a part of me still does, so much. Because it hurts to be something and it feels worse too be nothing now. And I want to call him but I know I shouldn't. I know I need to do this. For us.
