It hurts so much, this is so good, this song fits so perfectly 😭 I’m honestly still en denial over the ending 🥲 But I really liked how the animatic illustrated that in the end it was heavens fault they separated and not Aziraphale’s (poor boy has been heavily manipulated) And as always your animatic is amazing ❤️

1:53 to the scene where he has the feather- i felt that thing you get in your heart, it's such a powerful scene and really makes you think about how _innocent_ Azi and Crow are in this whole thing. I can't word it well, but how you drew Crowley with the feather- it just, arrgh i can't explain well but it shines light on just how defensive and protective he is of his angel, how hard he fights for him. Almost like shielding his partner with himself despite the cruel authority he's facing... so fiercely devoted. ALSO i just read a 15K long theory essay on tumblr called "the magic trick you didn't see" that powerfully explains the oddity of S2, _why_ it felt so off and I *really* want more people to read it, because it does a great job putting everything into perspective. How exciting!! Edit: 20 minutes past midnight my brain managed a thought- i think the reason i love your Crowley with Azi's feather scene is because of the sheer metaphorical size difference between Azi, Crowley and the Archangels. It's the vulnerable nature of both the feather and of Crowley, how easily they could be destroyed and yet how deeply Crowley tries to protect him. It's almost futile, sad. I pray for them. The author of that document (ariaste, on tumblr) comes to the conclusion that almost EVERYTHING we see on screen is somehow a tampered memory/fake scenario planted by Metatron, which I have many problems with. Without writing a huge essay here, the theory decides that the second season was "bad writing", and therefore that bad writing must have been intentional because Neil Gaiman is too good of a writer to have written something badly unless he meant to. It's putting him on a pedestal while also simultaneously insulting his work. It's a really weird premise to begin from, and as a result there are a LOT of holes in the theory.

@@kashiichan well- either way, theories are food for thought. If there's anything that I've taken from the theory that works for me, it's the concept of a 3-step setup ending in 'reward'. If S2 lacked so many payoffs for all the setups started then S3 will contain said payoffs. Satisfying endings to the many questions made from S2. Ariaste has mentioned as well that we shouldn't just believe everything they've mentioned as fact- you could be right, ariaste could be right. But I appreciate your skepticism instead of just accepting their theory as fact, it's nice to see different opinions (sorry for the essay)

Sorry to leave a second comment on this video but IT'S AMAZING HOW MUCH THIS SONG IS RELATED TO THEM: the fact of seeking a winner and a loser in their situation it's DEVASTATING but it's exactly Crowley's POV, the lines of "the God May throw a dice, the judges will decide, the likes of me abide" IT'S SO ACCURATE, IT SEEMS WRITTEN FOR CROWLEY'S SITUATION. I was doing laundry as I binge watched Good Omens. So please imagine me yelling, panicking, and pacing up a storm in my laundry room like a lost Sims character when I was blindsided by that ending. I'm still blindsided 2 days later. And this animatic blindsided me yet again. Jesus, I'm gonna get whiplash if this keeps going. I have to keep telling myself that Aziraphale is entering his S3 Zuko era (Avatar the Last Airbender) and that everything is gonna be OK. 😢

Genuinely didn't expect a good omens animatic from the channel lol, I love their character designs and the facial expressions are amazing as always; something I was thinking is like- in the "but i was a fool, playing by the rules" line it's really Azi who's playing by the rules of heaven & the whole heaven-hell arangement, with Crowley it kind of takes the meaning that the rules he was playing by were the rules of a typical love story- but their circumstances make it so that they could never be a typical love story, making him the fool.
