Imo 2nd movie is the best. I just LOVE Michael as a character. He is harsh and doesn't let anyone get in his way, not even his own brother. Okay that was a bit too much but nevertheless it made Michael so interesting. And in 3rd he regretted it and the character development was very neat.

So beautiful that I paid for Mr Harry Connick Jnr. to fly over to for my wife at our wedding in London to perform this song and a number of others, she loved the song and the artist so much and you can imagine the sheer shock of her face when he appeared from behind her after she was sat down, I had actually tried to sing it for the first thirty seconds, and then said "Promise Me, You'll Remember", the rest is just 😭😢 and 👰🏻 and needless to say, we have been married now for almost twenty years this August.

The Godfather Trilogy was essentially a modern day version of a Greek tragedy. Greek tragedies were written as trilogies around a common theme. Each individual tragedy would end with a death - often by violence, as did the Godfather films. There was also a similar cyclical element to the Godfather films. The assassination of Joey Zasa closely resembled Don Corleone's murder of Fanucci. The whole story started in Corleone, Sicily and that is where Michael died, broken after the death of his daughter. Another circle closed. In the end, the 3 parts comprise a tale of power achieved, but at a terrible price and you are left wondering if the power and glory is worth the price you have to pay for it.

The final movie is a masterpiece like 1st and 2nd. Only people that don't understand that kind of life can say something bad about the 3rd part and it's ending. Music in entire trilogy is fantastic and so is this love song with a great voice by Harry Connick. Enjoy.

III was a great film as it gave us insight to how things go on and also how they end. Don Michael did what he ahd to do with honor and respect. He was a son that Don Vito could be proud of. All the more interesting given how closely the Greeks were involved in Sicilian history.
