The 'Prince of Preachers' quipped that "Those who are quick to promise are generally slow to perform." That is, no doubt, something that you have experienced in life! We have grown accustomed to not necessarily take people at their word, as there is no guarantee of its fulfillment. We used to be able to shake on an agreement and it was as good as done. This leads us to ask the question of how important it is that God keep His covenant promises given so long ago to Israel. Through her sin, disobedience, and hardness of heart, has she sacrificed the fulfillment of what was promised to Abraham, David, and even in the New Covenant? This coming Sunday we will consider "Promises Made Will be Promises Kept" (Rom 11:25-27). As Paul triumphantly proclaims that all Israel will be saved, we'll look at its ramification and when it occurs, along with millennial views and biblical covenants.
