I was metabolically unhealthy to say the least only 5.5 months ago and since starting meat only carnivore I have reduced my weight from 154 kg (6ft, 53yo male) to now 110kg. My gut feeling (pardon the pun) is that once the general population works out that their health can easily be fixed in this way, the demand (as well as taking into account population increase) will increase more than we think. Food CAN BE medicine. I haven’t been this healthy since I was 17. It not only fixed me metabolically, but finally after 11 years of major depressive disorder with constant suicidal thoughts to TOTAL reversal. I’m no longer on any meds. It only took me about a month to fix my mental health from the date I started my strict diet. I tried many times over the last 2 years to get off my antidepressants but couldn’t. What’s crazy is my solution was so simple. That’s why I’m telling you this now.

Keep going. Carnivore is proper human diet.

Dr Ballerstedt has so many great points - that poor metabolic health of people is not a "disease of prosperity", but he doesn't talk much about the pernicious and unscientific US government "food pyramid" or "healthy plate" guidelines, which are exacerbating the population's poor metabolic health. I'm one who hit the pre-diabetes A1c and took action, changing to a ketogenic diet emphasizing animal proteins and fats. I lost over 50 lbs and have kept the weight off for 6 years, brought my A1c down well into the normal range, and take no medications. So, I'm probably one of the 12% (or is it 7%?) he references.

It _pains_ me to see you only have ~5k subscribers; I’m glad to have been one for several years. Yes, what you present is highly repetitive from one to another, but since I never retain everything from any one of them, I keep watching. Please keep repeating what needs to be said as long as you are reasonably inclined. Edit: P.S.: I’m one of the 12%. I’m curious as to what the distribution of those numbers by age is (I’m 57).
