Another great video, Hamstir! Every day I watch out to see if you post, because you're amazing and I love your theories on the story! I really hope the full game will be released soon,so we can FINALLY meet the Fates, see the outcome of Chronos and Promy and Melinoe and her family reunited!🤩🤩

Thaanks Maria! You’re words were very sweet and it does mean lots to me c: And ya mang! I can only imagine the pay off tying all these plot lines together by the full game! The fact we may see the Fates themselves tells me Supergiant is committing everything to this game. Amazing! You have a great one!

you know there’s a japanese phrase called love at second sight? i hope i recall it correctly, but, it’s basically when you know you don’t love them *right now* but you have the feeling you eventually will. that’s EXACTLY how i feel towards supergiant’s apollo. like i know he’s not my immediate favorite like chaos and promy, but he will worm his way there the more we saw/heard/know about him (though uh, too bad his myths are more often known to be tragic on the love side haha) to be precise, i knew it when called us sunshine i got the smile gnawing its way to my lips. its cute that he tried honestly but maybe it’ll have an effect on me someday. perhaps not sending a plague thanks- i love artemis because she’s EXACTLY what most olympians IS NOT. a little socially awkward, responsible towards her domains, and distant herself from her family. and of course as her twin (read: opposite) he’s gonna have every olympian signature worst trait (smudge prideful, a bit of a gossiper, and a lil’ butthurt when you don’t take their boon hehe) but he remains to be courteous and a gentleman towards us all this time :)) i like that in a man. despite that, he seems to be rather- two faced? he gave us “purest hope” but has expressed that melinoe’s whole mission is like entertainment and does not have as much faith towards melinoe’s success. augh complicated guy you know i lowkey forgot he deals with prophecies and arts x) 3:31 hera’s “constant doting to be bothersome” to apollo awh. doting apollo 5:48 HEYYYYY HESTIA!!! another one of my olympians favorites, because she’s not “an olympian” anymore (?) love that she snipes demeter immediately because demeter calls herself the eldest of the olympians only because hestia left until war call her back- and yeah, i have the whole bundle of hestia, hephaestus, and artemis as my favorite olympians “they ain’t like other olympians.” 23:11 heracles :c poor man he’s know he’s more of a dutiful tool than family member to them. he hates them and olympians is suspicious of him (except oblivious zeus bet) sucks to be a demigod huh. i actually really like this supergiant’s heracles bitter and cold personality. such a great twist LMAO foaming at the mention of prometheus, SAME 27:58 promy always have such cool comebacks. pretty sure he had lots of years thinking about them when he was imprisoned ;_; that thought just made me sad all over again but YO- THAT FIRE SPREAD LINE WAS SOME ACTUAL HEAT meli has dropped hard lines but you’re up against promy my girl you have no chance ben starr why are you so talented and sparring us tiny lil crumbs like this ;w;

That’s a cute sentiment and I do think this second sight is applied than the former ^ I struggle to believe at first sight to be a thing, but I believe our bar is lower than we might think. Meaning the latter, developing feelings later, is broadly applicable ^ Secretly, I’m in this Apollo Hate Club with another person down here, so if you hear Apollo slander, know I’m doing it to remain affiliated. Otherwise, Apollo is charming and very amicable! Doting Apollo is a cute thought isn’t it? C: Sunshine is a cute pet name! Just funny Melinoe has never seen the sun. I adored Artemis and would hardly ever want to upset her. She is socially awkward and I liked that as her signature. Because of that, I honestly read her a little autistic coded, which I think is charming too. But we don’t see any of that in Hades 2, so perhaps she felt more comfortable around women like Melinoe? (too many factors) I say it’s Zagreus having her open up more, Melinoe practically grow up with Artemis, etc. But I miss socially awkward Artemis c: Ooh, I kinda enjoy making Apollo upset during god trials haha, may be a little twisted, but Apollo angry is a little cute. He doesn’t sound threatening to me in Supergiant!! I know he’s legit scary tho. I think I’m extremely vanilla when it comes to guys, similar to what you said, I’m weak against good boys. Not exclusive to boys, I think Melinoe is so by the book it's so cute. During Cauldron lessons, she’s the type to follow exact instructions while Eris would pour all the herbs at once and fail the class. Right, Apollo is kind of a jack of all trades kind of guy ^ I wonder if that means he’s capable of most, but doesn’t exceed at most, you know? Pin him up with Prometheus, and it’s a completely different game of prophecies and foresight. Truuue! And Hestia may be my favorite god design out of the family. She looks and sounds so welcoming. Now imagining her with the Rail is hilarious LOL. A progression on Heracles’ plot would be just as tantalizing as Arachne’s. Another subject to testify against the broken system of the gods. And the advice he gives to Melinoe reflects how little he wants to associate with the gods, only bear minimal interaction and leave, otherwise he’ll experience the same as the other mortals. If anything, we can imagine Heracles as the few veterans that survived the gods and understand it how it is. Melinoe has no chance when Promy is spitting fire!!! Promy has the juiciest lines in the game, they’re very productive in where this story is heading. Amazing. Thank you Ben Starr
@scarletowl455619 күн бұрын
They really gave Prometheus the hardest lines in both of the games lol. "I cannot break." "Now at last, we each are free. And burning still." It must be impossible to win an argument against him. He can see all your points coming, and prepare for all of them. Ever think of a really good argument or comeback in the shower, days after a discussion? Prometheus can have that moment 20 weeks before you have the debate XD. Anyway, I love his perspective on his "crime". He didn't steal shit. The Olympians still have fire. All he did was share it. He's not even Robin Hood, because the Olympians lost nothing when he shared fire with us. And I don't know if you've gotten this dialogue yet, but Promy has no faith in the gods. He explicitly says that Zeus will never change. That's why I'm currently betting on the Fates to change things, as repayment to Melinoe or something like that. I'm unsure as to how powerful Typhon is, but he tore Zeus to shreds in their first sight, and that was when Zeus was already at peak power. King of the gods, lightning and all that. The gods were lucky Zeus managed to win Round 2. The Greeks really wanked Zeus, since he was their chief god, so the fact that this story has someone kicking his ass so hard, in direct combat, that he needs Hermes to rescue him, should be a testament to his power. Well, I'll go ahead and sacrifice a goat to the Fates so you get the Dora dialogue with Prometheus soon XD.
@Hamstir418 күн бұрын
Promy has banger lines! And the track that plays before battle is the cherry on top. It’s cinema!!!! I do think of good comebacks or roasts haha ^ I thrive in this department. I can learn from Prometheus. I believe, checks notes* he can convince me to harm myself by precise glances or gestures. Fascinating Promy wank of the day Owl. I have gotten the dialogue where Promy said Aetos came around, but Zeus never will ^ and that is a problem. If Zeus never changes, Promy finds it better working with Chronos. Once the Fates are freed, I do expect the story to change completely. I just don’t know if they’d simply write out our solutions, even though that’s what they do. It is totally possible they would have their minds changed after being held hostage for the first time in their lives lool ^ But I have a bad feeling that once we free the Fates, they would just go back to their old way saying, “We’ll take it from here, and you have no say in it like everyone else”. Unless, Moros may get to them? Hmm!! (I need Moros to do a little more, my handsome guy!) Truuue and it sound so metal! By the sounds, Typhon was the closest to dismantling the status quo by himself?!?. And what better way in telling this story than bringing capable characters together to crush a broken system. If it’s not Typhon, you going to see me with the biggest pikachu face :0 LOOL imagining a goat sacrificed for every episode without that Dora dialogue. I’m prompted to spam Surface Runs next week.

@@Hamstir4 I'm curious to see what the Fates are like. Are they alien, or do they still have human qualities, like the other gods? Are they ruthless and manipulative or polite and shy? I think making the Fates sympathetic would be one hell of a plot twist. Yeah, as I recall, Typhon sent all the other gods running. Only Zeus fought him, as I recall, and he was left broken the first time. Hermes patched him up, and Zeus managed to win the second fight. So if we're looking at power levels, Zeus is what he should be compared to, assuming Supergiant is using that interpretation of him. As a separate note, I find Zeus's power level funny. He's constantly said to be the strongest ever, even claiming to be able to easily defeat all other gods together in one story. And yet, Hypnos put him to sleep twice, his lust puts him completely under Aphrodite's influence and he was once tied up by the other Olympians, needing to be rescued by someone else. Raw power seems to mean little compared to trickery, even when it comes to gods. Every day you delay, another goat shall perish. Better start hustling XD.
@Hamstir418 күн бұрын
@@scarletowl4556 You know! There’s a theory that I’m sold on from one of the comments, that the Fates are the three heads that appear when you die. I wish I could send a picture, but it appears to be a little girl, a middle-aged woman, and an elderly during the “Can Time be stopped?” Title. I bet those are the Fates and they’ve been hinted since the start of the game. Moros has talked briefly about each sister before and they sounded eccentric. I hope very much like the Norns in God of War ^ Children of Nyx should be very odd, and the Fates are completely different banana bunch. Typhon sounds so cool! Fighting a world ending threat sounds epic, I just worry Melinoe may canonically get hurt like how Zeus lost all his tendons. Similarly, I prefer her not to get eaten by Polyphemus. Here’s what’s weird if we’re power scaling. Chronos said he doesn’t care about Zeus’ lightning bolts in Hades 2. Is Time just ego boasting? Zeus also has said he’s faced Chronos one to one on hand combat and won, which I believe is true ^ But if Zeus is so strong, why is he having a hard time with the help of his family? Granted, the Olympians are tripping over each other in the process. So I agree, Zeus’ power scaling can go a bit back in forth. Zeus may excel in raw power and Typhon may be the only one rival to that. LOL not the goats, nooo! Fates be cruel, I better get to it then.
@scarletowl455617 күн бұрын
@Hamstir4 Hmm... Possible, I suppose. And yeah, I'd love it if they had a similar vibe as the Norns. They actually do weave fate, so they can't be as hands off, I think, but personality wise, yeah, they can be similar. Imagine they're super sarcastic and tired of being blamed for every bad thing that happens XD. He said that? Curious. Zeus's lightning is supposed to be the greatest weapon in Greek Mythology. Maybe Chronos has a contingency against it. Or maybe he doesn't care because he has no intention of waging direct combat himself. We don't know what his big plan is yet, do we? Maybe all he wants Prometheus to do is buy Time (I did it again) for him to something else. We'll see. And yeah, it's a basic rule of life. No amount of strength or power will save you from a sneak attack. That's why I consider gods like Aphrodite, with subtle powers, more dangerous than gods with destructive powers, like Zeus or Poseidon. One goat has already perished in thy name. Better hurry. The clock is ticking, and Time cannot be stopped.

@@scarletowl4556 I wonder ^ I’m basing a bit of their enigma from Hades 1 as well. Nyx emphasized NOT to speak of them so casually as they might take that as an invitation to twist your life. So perhaps they’re more petty and easily provoked than even gods’ standards. But!! It may be they are tired of being cursed for every misfortune that is life lool. When Nyx implied she went to speak with the Fates themselves to do a favor for her, she said it wasn’t easy to convince them. And all children of Nyx for the most part respect their mother. The Fates on the other hand, operate at a completely different angle, they call the shots here. However they’re handled, I’m down because most interpretations find characters such as the Fates as “off limits” to write about. So I’m very interested in their take! Right! I was surprised too, then I saw how quick he took down Nyx? So umm, gulp* Chronos must be insanely powerful, or they nerfed Nyx and Zeus badly haha. You know, that’s what’s weird when pointed out. Chronos has been sitting idly in the Underworld, confident his plan has already been set in motion. And no, we haven’t learned the specifics. We just heard anecdotes of rumblings from the other gods, and there’s no confirmation that it’s Typhon. I was actually worried Chronos is scurrying around to search for who is responsible sending Melinoe to Chronos. I had a bad feeling he’ll find out it’s Hecate at some point, and Hecate tries to regularly reinforce the barriers in the Crossroads for protection, so perhaps she’s fine. You know, I’m not surprised about the takes on Aphrodite and Hypnos ^ My rule of thumb is anyone who has domain over a fundamental concept is formidable. Love is such a primary feeling imo, I can imagine the heart breaks (maybe even literal), direct influence or manipulation as you implied ^ Hypnos being sleep. Sleep!!! Everyone practically sleeps. You sleeping in battle? It is over. I was actually a little afraid if we were to face Hyperion, because facing the concept of Light sounds absolutely impossible. Ig we’re facing Time, which is also impossible. But with Light, I was expecting blinding light or refractions of light making him invisible or illusions. Or remove all sources of light so Melinoe can’t see a thing. The fundamentals mang! They’re scary! Noo, I’m so sorry goat #1!! Please, other goats, play dead! They won’t sacrifice you if you aren't worth the cut! Survive!! Please..
