The thing that stands out for me more than any other movie I’ve ever seen is that this movie made me feel even for the minor characters. Especially Cinta the daughter of Marco’s maid, and the girl that was bringing Peter Bowman firewood. The humanity of all the characters even the smaller roles, was beautifully done.

Well I may not have had unrequited love but there was as in this case a significant other & it could just never be & I was praying for God to close the door on my job because it was just too hard to come to work everyday knowing it would never be so the look on his face in this final scene was the expression of my heart as I drove home the day God did indeed answer my prayer & my job was no more

Before this scene: "so were even" .. all he wanted was, to know that she felt the same way as he did, this whole time.... he got it with that, and that's all he needed since hes a soldier, not just that BUT that is the most hes ever gotten..... ... yeah. sad but sums it up.

...It's not just that... he is a soldier and on a different path.. she is a wife and has her own.... they could converge but, he knows his way and is stubborn and sticks to it, she knows reality and let's him go. Life is like that, very few compromises when it comes to strangers/leaps of faith.. Definitely not so straight and forward/happy ending like the movies, which is why I liked this one so much

Well, I made a mistake to title the video: "Proof of life ending", cause probably people come here to hear the credit song wich is amazing. However the purpose of this video was to center on Rusel Crowe's character emotions at the end, cause most of us can relate to what he is feeling. Didn't think of good enough title to describe this though.
