I am new at top dasher. I my area I am trying to dash in the busy times. Right know it is between 10am and 1 pm. The zone still stays red. I have tried it after 1pm then I start to get to many miles and the money low. Had a few diamond orders on April 4 but on April 5 not many at all. The mile are good and low but so is the money.

The orders need to be completed regardless of acceptance rate. If most drivers in a market understand to decline the no tip, low tip, and high mileage deliveries then DD has to add extra Base Pay to the order. This is called driver desirability. At a certain point during a delivery once a driver declines the offer the next driver gets that offer with an extra 25 cents on it. This process repeats until the payout gets high enough for a driver to accept the offer. Taking no tip orders means you are not making any money as Base Pay goes exclusively for gas, and vehicle maintenance and repairs. Peak Pay and tips are your wages (profit). It makes no sense at all to take no tip offers to then get a couple offers later with slightly higher tips. It doesn't make up for the fact that you took that no tip offer. I have been cherry picking using 2 apps all year and my gross average with DD and GH is $27.70 per hour (yes it's going down in the slow summer months slightly). I took 2 months off in June and July but being selective is how you make more money. The hidden factor most drivers overlook is how important the drop off location is. Having dead miles kills your earnings and you will be amazed at how much more money you make when you take orders that drop you off in another hot zone right away. Jumping from hot zone to hot zone is what you want to do. Also knowing which merchants to avoid is key as well. Some merchants commit fraud by not starting the order until the driver arrives. Creating your own stacked orders on multiple apps is the final skill that a driver must master and this comes with experience and a great understanding of the market you deliver in.

Question for you, Richard: Did you apply for the LOP via form or through chatting with support? I ask because support has shut me down each time and simply said that it's invite only. From your case, it seems like Top Dasher status can possibly get someone in regardless.
@SinCityDeliveries
@SinCityDeliveries 2 жыл бұрын
It's invite only. I applied by signing up on the wait list the second I became a TD. Don't listen to the crowd saying TD doesn't matter for LOP it 100% matters. This is why 99% of people that call in get shot down with the proverbial "let me send you to the LOP support page". When they say invite only they mean become a top dasher with excellent stats not just a basic 70% AR you need 90%+ and they will bring you in on a red carpet!

I'm still not convinced. It's highly dependent on market as the main benefits are access to large orders and dashing whenever you want. That doesn't help much if you live in an area that just doesn't see many large orders and it's not difficult to get scheduled for a long shift either. I would just multi app and cherry pick. If you want a truly accurate comparison however you'd need to do a few months hustling as non top dasher. One week or one shift in a new zone is not enough to observe a trend

Good video making the case for top dasher, although not very convincing. I realize its not meant to be a scientific study by any means, you are at least providing some evidence to support your claim, which is more than we get from most. There are way too many variables involved comparing one account to another. Ideally we'd be able to see independently verified numbers posted with daily/weekly rankings such that top dasher averages could be compared to non top dasher accounts to see if the per hour/mile averages can be compared against the extra effort required for top dasher. Rather than relying on hearsay and company stories to see if it was actually worth the trouble. This is another reason I support 3rd party utilities like para be allowed Still I applaud your effort to try to post something .

Really fantastic stuff! I def think based on your research, anyone doing Doordash ONLY full time should def be Top Dasher to maximize earnings. For us it wouldn't make sense because right now Multi-Apping we are making $25-$27 an hour which def works better I think for part time 60-70 hours a month. We work one 4 hour shift in a day.. so it would take 7-8 shifts to get to get 100 orders (assuming 12 orders a shift) and doing just DD only, which to maintain TD on a part time basis would not be as profitable as multi-apping.. Right now we are averaging 62 orders on DD while Multi-Apping 60-70 hours a month. That being said, if someone is making this part of their full time income portfolio I would suggest TD to anyone after seeing your research and proof. To bad DD cant come up with a part timers version of TD lol. NOW the ultimate would be to get TD, and still multi-app for an even higher $/hr.

The most I've done is 90% . If anyone has just one percent more than you they will see the offer first. 95% is any market yes I think is rare, but with videos like mine that bring attention to it. You never know you could have some "sleeper dashers" that dash like spys in your zone, you would actually never know. So its best to be on the Top of the list so that way you know you are the best. Dashing with friends in the same zone helps you gain a lot more information on how high you are on your list in your current zone. I dash with a 100% er and I had 80% this month, two other guys had 90% and 84% respectively. Since I was 4th in line with the lowest at 80%, they saw the order 10/10 before me.

I accepted less offers than him, drove less than him, worked less than him and earned more. What video did you watch? I only get paid when I am on an active delivery. You cant turn on the app and earn money through dash time. You don't get paid at a w-2 until you clock in and start providing a service for that employer. DD doesnt pay you until you provide a service to the customer. With your logic every single w-2 is not the true hourly wage then, prep time to go to work, prep time after work, resting at night to go to work in the morning, all this should be counted as time worked for a w-2 but its not, that's because you get paid to provide a service. Your not showing mileage all your showing is the end result of each order, you could have driver 25miles to get that $32.00 or 5miles we don't know because you don't show.

You will get it, remember you can decline up to 30 offers out of the 100 block you do. Save those declines for the long distance or no-tip offers!

@@SinCityDeliveries if I have a 24% AR When is best to go for it during the month bro? Like I know I heard you have to have 100 deliveries completed in the month to qualify and u said you can decline up to 30 offers in the last 100 sent to you

You need to choose how you want to divide 100 orders. I like to divide by 5 days. So 100÷5=20 So I need to do 20 deliveries a day to hit 100%. If you want 70% then you need to divide 70 by the amount a days you want it to take. So if you do it in 5 days you would need to do 70÷5=14. So you will need to do 14 orders a day and you can decline 6 a day also, that equals 20 orders total. So 14x5= 70 and 6x5=30 70+30=100. Maths
