Can you try to get fatty acids to go back into solution using the air bubbles at 80 proof? I know anything over 94 proof will keep them in solution. I like that you call out the difference between adding alcohol to water vs the other way around.... Although, once upon a time tried it in large bottles and just ended up with two distinct layers, so upon shaking don't know it made a difference (fifteen years ago cloudy didn't bother me as no one else'd see it).
