We speak with Congressmember Jamaal Bowman of New York, one of the top targets for pro-Israel groups seeking to oust lawmakers who have led calls for a ceasefire in Gaza. Bowman is a former Bronx middle school principal who won his seat in 2020 before becoming a member of the so-called Squad of progressives in Congress. The powerful lobby group AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, could spend as much as $25 million to support George Latimer, Bowman's rival for the Democratic nomination in New York's 16th District, which would make it the most expensive primary fight in U.S. history. "It's unprecedented," says Bowman, who calls it "despicable" for the group to target him for his antiwar stance. "They don't want anyone to be critical of the state of Israel, even though an honest critique will lead to the ongoing safety and security of the people of Israel and hopefully get us a free Palestine."

A Public Authority can audit police and prosecute bad cops in our own courts. Nationalise resources and give Indigenous peoples the right of Sovereignty over them as Guardians. This can be achieved through a General Strike or Velvet Revolution, much like the Occupy movement, peacefully occupying State Buildings until a People's Mandate can be implemented. With the appropriate checks and balances, you could have a national digital forum where qualified professionals can debate the issues in a public setting without all the disinformation and bad faith antics, hatespeech etc. Any vote would need to pass the 70% threshold, with a veto or _rewrite_ vote needing 30%. The issues would be debated, the public educated, and then a vote taken. Votes that fail will have to wait a year before trying again. Any new proposal (Citizen Initiated Referendum) would have to reach a threshold of support before it made it onto the register. This would be subject to a Social Contract (New Constitution) that forbids human rights abuses and discrimination. That can be written in the same manner based on the core principles we all share. Councils and Boards could operate in the same fashion at Scale. It works in a way that obligates people to better educate themselves ( that is to use logic and evidence in their reasoning ) for a better understanding of the issues, and then take collective responsibility for the outcomes. As opposed to the divisive US v them scapegoating and bi-partisan finger pointing the current Capitalist Pyramid Scheme runs on. Enough is enough We need Government by People's Referenda, either through Mascot Candidates or Peaceful Encampment of the Capitals until one is established. The following have "donated" to American universities, colleges (and also public high schools and elementary schools): QATAR $6 billion; Saudi Arabia $3.5 billion and UAE $1.5 billion. Most of these contributions don't list their purpose. Nearly 1/3 of these donations were made since 2020. Cornell university is the largest recipient --$2.1billion. I don't believe that real change is possible from within the system. I think that prefigurative politics is our best, but not our only, shot at real change.

Avoid the propaganda, it's the platform that's important. It's the policies needed to carry out the mission and the ripple effect of those policies. Listen to the candidate, because opponents will run negative ads, it's what opponents do. Keep your eye on the prize and the "sacrifices" necessary to make the policies work. AIPAC is doing what AIPAC does, throwing money at the competition. The candidate represents the problem for Bowman. Remember, by building the competition up at the polls leading up to the election, and then crushing the AIPAC at the ballot box, you've saved thousands of Palestinian lives.

The machine always wins You need to think outside the box Isn't it time we the people took responsibility for our own collective failure to hold our leaders to account for far too long. _"All People's have the right to self defence from Colonial rule, including armed resistance"_ UN Charter: Protocol 1 Call for Government by People's Referenda: Peaceful Encampment of our Capitals until it's installed, or run Mascot Candidates Single Issue Referendums with thresholds and a social contract means Communities can vote their own laws. A Public Authority can audit police and prosecute bad cops in our own courts. Nationalise resources and give Indigenous peoples the right of Sovereignty over them as Guardians. This can be achieved through a General Strike or Velvet Revolution, much like the Occupy movement, peacefully occupying State Buildings until a People's Mandate can be implemented. With the appropriate checks and balances, you could have a national digital forum where qualified professionals can debate the issues in a public setting without all the disinformation and bad faith antics, hatespeech etc. Any vote would need to pass the 70% threshold, with a veto or _rewrite_ vote needing 30%. The issues would be debated, the public educated, and then a vote taken. Votes that fail will have to wait a year before trying again. Any new proposal (Citizen Initiated Referendum) would have to reach a threshold of support before it made it onto the register. This would be subject to a Social Contract (New Constitution) that forbids human rights abuses and discrimination. That can be written in the same manner based on the core principles we all share. Councils and Boards could operate in the same fashion at Scale. It works in a way that obligates people to better educate themselves ( that is to use logic and evidence in their reasoning ) for a better understanding of the issues, and then take collective responsibility for the outcomes. As opposed to the divisive US v them scapegoating and bi-partisan finger pointing the current Capitalist Pyramid Scheme runs on. Enough is enough We need Government by People's Referenda, either through Mascot Candidates or Peaceful Encampment of the Capitals until one is established. Make it an annual March on Oct 14 Under a single white flag 🏳️ You can copy/share 🙏 It's about Peace and Democracy; don't give them anything to twist Done without shouting or banners, this strategy cannot be stopped once in motion It's time to end the Colonial State
