We focus on the influence of the Israeli military in the development of some of the most widely used versions of these surveillance technologies, which in many cases are first tested on Palestinians and used to enforce Israel's occupation of Palestine, and on the potential expansion of domestic U.S. surveillance under a second Trump administration. They had intel from various sources pointing to the attack-they knew it was going to happen, but they didn’t prepare accordingly, because they will take any and every opportunity to initiate an assault on the Palestinian people. Oct. 7th was a result of years of military and settler violence from Israel, and even if they didn’t have direct intel, Israel should have expected such a resistance.

Rebooting is good. But even then, you can still draw power from the battery and put the device into a silent stand-by like mode. In which case, the microphone and camera can be powered without any indication that they are. It's better just to let the device battery completely drain of all power.

I followed the instructions of a phone tech on KZbin, and switched off everything on my phone to stop my camera, mic, etc. picking up anything. I don't do banking on my phone. I txt and phone friends, and that's about it. Still not sure though. I detest the thought of my mind, my politics, etc. being known to my government....or anyone.

Don't merely trust a company, either. SO many softwares are trying to integrate AI, and that includes Apple and Windows. Windows 11 is employing its AI "Copilot", along with an invasive program called "Recall", which takes a screenshot of your screen every 5 seconds (seriously, who asked for this?). Personally, I'd delete it from the control panel, double check constantly that it stays gone, and switch to something else. Hopefully they don't keep that apparent mistake that made it an essential program for *File Manager* to run... I shudder to think of the point where they don't even need to store the data anymore, but instead have an AI trained on your personality that can just regurgitate your thoughts... Idk what's feasible though. Point is, companies want your data. Companies have huge influence over the government. Government might be able to require companies to hand over data. Corrupt administrations do corrupt things when set loose.

I think that “journalists” who just regurgitate them giving information shouldn't be facing any consequences on behalf of how accurate is the information but the source journalist, the actual truth seeker who knowingly or accidentally gave misleading, inaccurate or false information should absolutely face consequences. One cannot just blatantly blackmail somebody and then hide behind his “journalist” tag saying: “you cannot touch me; I’m a journalist so I can say what I want”. Thats jus BS

To all those people who keep saying that the NSA has been doing this for years: There is a difference between their ability to listen in to calls, something they've done for years, and being able to control the phone remotely even when you believe you have it off. They are taking pictures, turning on the microphone or geolocation. Edit: Rebooting is often not the same as simply shuting off. Use some sense.
