Yessss!!! I’ve been meaning to to do this song for awhile. So stoked it got requested. What a ripper of a track. In case you’re not familiar, lotus gait refers to the walk of a woman who had endured foot binding, which is a cruel custom that cripples the feet for aesthetics (I’m over generalizing here). Chris is using it as a metaphor for the crippling guilt he/we feel about using entertainment to escape having to deal with thinking about the horrors the world and the leaders of our world foist upon us every day. And even though “the wandering mind” stumbles into those horrible scenes sometimes, we continue to remain content in our escapism and be held willing hostage to it all

Please do "Dark Matters", "Bringer Of Greater Things", "March Of the Crabs", "Things I Like", "Incalculable Effects", and "Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes"... i fkn love this band so much. Chris is a master of words and highly educated.... master of the metaphor for sure. Love the reactions, new subscriber here!

Just came across this channel recently; really digging the Propagandhi reactions. However, you have predominately focused on Chris' songs, but only two in their bassist has the spotlight. May I suggest you two listen to more songs written and sung by Todd? To rattle off a few random Todd jams you haven't covered: Dark Matters, Rattan Cane, Life at Disconnect, Incalculable Effects.
