They've always hated ska, but it's also a bit of a fun song. Since then, they've matured into the one of the best punk bands still jamming today.

I think folks get frustrated by the way one scene gets co-opted by a different group. Usually as part of a trend that sort of strays from what made the original scene appealing. Punk to ska, punk to pop punk, punk/hardcore to emo, hardcore to metalcore, metalcore to whatever synth filled bass drop dancehall bastardmetal people seem to love. Basically, hipsters and casuals deatroying a beautiful community of folks for some fleeting trend they don't really care about. Such is life though
