Most informative and concise video I’ve seen so far. Our mother plant and pups were dying so I just had to split off the pups. Only one had a a small obvious root and they looked mushy at the bottom of the stem so unsure if they’ll grow. The mother was potbound so I teased off excess soil washed it and put it into a bigger pot with tomato fertiliser. I didn’t have anti fungal treatment. I’ll put a bit of turmeric around the stem as someone says it’s antifungal.

This is the best explanation I've seen on how to separate pups, now I feel confident that I can do it without killing my banana trees. My mother plant and the pups look great, but I know if I don't separate them soon, they won't stay healthy since they're in a container. Thank you for the informative video!

I planted a pup (20cm) in a pot with no extra help-one month ago - I keep it in a South facing window. It sprouted another leaf after 2 weeks. I water it alot. It's looking good ☺

I think turmeric can also be used as fungicide, instead of the synthetic chemical fungicides. While transplanting banana pups, I had applied turmeric paste over roots and the transplanted pup is alive with new green leaves.

No it doesn't work how much you try,go chemical fungicides are always best, for root sterling use surf
