I propagated roses successfully a few years ago and I miss the process so I'm doing it again this year. I hope you'll give it a try as well! Please let me know if you'll be trying it out for the first time or if you've done it before and if so, how did you do it? Differently than me?

This is so timely! I accidentally broke off a cane when I was messing with them today. I'm going to try this and see how many roses I can create! Thank you!

Hi Andrea! I don't plan to check mine for root development until at least June as I want to make sure the plant has time to do it's thing. Worst case, I can look at the bottom of the pot to see if there's any roots. The rose may put out top growth first (leaves) and then callus and create roots after. That's what happened to my rose cuttings a few years ago. Patience is key, friend. Good luck with your rose cuttings!🤞🏼😊🌹

Hi Carol. Thank you & Happy New Year to you as well! 🥰🌸 Hardwood cuttings are slow and steady to root but they are worth it in my opinion. Since where I live in New Hampshire I can't be out in my garden until at least March, this gives me something fun to do in the garden. I hope you give it a try! 🌹

Another interesting video. I am at the beginning of this gardening adventure and going to give hard wood cuttings a try.
@budgetgardeningvita2 күн бұрын
Thanks Claudia! I'm so glad you'll be giving hardwood cuttings a try. I'd love for you to update me later this season. Just remember, it takes a long time for hardwood cuttings to root, so don't be tempted to check on them until probably June or July. They may form leaves up top first, then maybe callus at the base, and eventually set out roots. It's gradual but worth it with patience. 🥰🌹

I’ve had good luck doing this with roses. I am kind of excited I got a notice that the heat mat I ordered from MIgardener should be delivered tomorrow. Will give you a review of it after I use it for onion starting end of this month or beginning of next.

Hi John. Thanks for sharing your experience with rose cuttings. Yes - very exciting about the MIgardener heat mat! I'd love to hear what you think of it. I told myself I wasn't going to start any onions this year.... but maybe I will. 😅🧅

I FOUND THE TOMATO SEEDS! The small tomato plants that I was telling you about are called "Tiny Tim." I ordered them from Sow Right Seeds. They grew an abundance of small tomatoes last summer. I am going to try growing them indoors this winter.

Hi Gail. I'm so happy that you found the tomato seeds! Tiny Tim is a very popular dwarf tomato plant variety. I'm glad that you'll be growing them indoors this winter. Good luck, friend! 🤞🏼😊🍅
