Propagating Tradescantia for Beginners!

Thanks for the tips! Hoping to do this to save my poor Tradescantia which had gone sorely unnoticed during a stressful period in the household, and ended up being completely dried and shriveled near the soil. Attached to the dried up stems it still has strong, healthy branches though, so perhaps these will make it through as new cuttings!🤞🤞

I just found a severed vine of this stuff that had to have been there for at LEAST 4 months, and while most of the vine had dried and shriveled up, it still had 6-7 very much ALIVE, healthy growing tips! I couldn't believe it had survived not only without water, let alone roots of any kind, but in a pitch black, unheated garage through the winter! Following the advice of your video, I have taken cuttings and stuck them in soil and will hopefully have a big luscious plant in no time, for free! Plants are so amazing.

That’s awesome. Overwatering will totally wreck this plant but they can take some abuse and under watering pretty easily

Thank you for your videos. Ours is in a sad state. We have a new growth but it was once beautiful. I’m trying to make it become fuller again. I have 2 stems.
