You just popped up in my feed, happened to watch your radius trick rotated on pin of radius center line. Gotta tell you...very refreshing to see someone that has the skill and EXPERIENCE to get something done without having their hand held. 30 years plus on manual machines here...44x240 manual lathe with 10-15,000 pound material was everyday for me not to mention every manual machine in a shop...ask some now what the decimal is for a fraction. What factors go into choosing to MIG weld the frame and TIG weld the door panels? Why not TIG weld everything?

Great question, Mig is faster then Tig, but if you have to do a lot of grinding on the weld Tig might be faster.

Great job Dale but........... I think you could have dragged the project out into 17 parts of 40 minutes each - of mostly trying to teach us a lesson ;) As is often the case on YT. Perhaps a proper welding table? Springs are not proportional in their force compared to their extended length so your tanks will get empty faster as you use them. Do love my Fireball Tools.....

Pretty cool fabrication video. I'll probably pick up a set of those squares, they definitely look very useful. And not to nitpick, but just a couple of suggestions: 1. You use quite a few specialized tools that I know exist, but am not terribly familiar with. Like the tool you used to put the seams in the sheet metal and the tool you used to create the circular metal hoops. Maybe just spend 15-30 seconds or so on each one with a brief intro explaining what it is and why you're using it. 2. The canned rock music is annoying. Plus, the volume of it is not mixed properly with the speaking parts. I found myself constantly turning down the volume at every interval with the rock music and then having to turn it back up to hear you speaking again. My suggestion would be to mix it better so that the music is much quieter during the non-speaking parts. Or better yet, use the classical music you use towards the end of the segment instead, which is FAR preferable to the generic canned rock.

Any gas that liquifies cannot be accurately measured by tank pressure. Weight is the proper metric for remaining fuel in a propane tank. I doubt your spring will "stretch out" as you are not exceeding its pull strength, so you would not be causing the spring to yield. A fun method to weigh your tanks could have been with hydraulics. A 0 to 100 PSI gauge and a cylinder with 0.6 square inches area. Use a small spring counter balance to overcome the weight of an empty tank and the mount.
