Great to have you back with a nauty vid! Your product appears very good. I’ll investigate its availability etc here in the antipodes. I have used for years Prop-speed with very good results. Because its put on by the hardstand people its cost effect because they distribute the cost of a pack over a number of different boats. But as a one off it’s expensive. Best, Mark

Hi Mark, good to hear from you again. Prop-Speed gets very good reviews over here. The Hempel stuff was more convenient than most so i went for that. I'm about to replace the prop and I think for a while the new prop won't need antifouling. It's got a ceramic polished skin, which is very difficult for marine things to adhere to. Well that's what I've been told, just have to see Eh. Best Wishes - Dave

Great stuff Dave. Perhaps that could be an alternative to my folding prop as well,,, as long as i keep I off the surfaces that move against each other. The fouling wasn't too bad ghis year though. And maybe if I wold motor a bit more id be better of. ( But there is that pride you know) thanks anyway. Good of you to share. Best regards from Jarle

Last haul out we used petit barnacle barrier. It didn't work well at all despite the very high price. We also tried the grease coat because why not? Didn't work. So far the cheapest and most effective thing is a dive and a scrape.

Hi Joseph, I'd never heard of Petit Barnacle Barrier but a bit of research on the internet doesn't give many good reviews. If you check out my other videos you will see one about cleaning the prop using a dilute acid. There's a good shot of the prop after it had been jetwashed and there is quite a lot of small barnacle shell left. I cleaned it off and used the Ecopower Prop last year and after a year, there are about 3 mini barnacles. The prop looks a bit scruffy as some of the undercoat has come off with the jetwashing but there was very little growth. Like all these products some work better in warm water some in cool. But it worked for me. Best Wishes ... Dave
