also, i have a question- how fast were you going when you did the emergency stop? it's just i always imagined it to be like really dramatic where like your body jolts forwards, this doesn't look too bad though, which has really put me at ease! i've been learning to drive for a year and a half and sill have to do my test. your videos really help though and i appreciate you uploading them!

Does the absence of ABS have to do with body jolting forwards when braking?

Hi Paynos, I was wondering if you can give me advice on something. I'm doing my test in a few weeks and I'm a very nervous driver. I was wondering how I can get into the habit of checking my mirrors more as my instructor is consistently failing me on my mock tests because of this. you're videos are a huge help, thank you!

Hi! The more you practice the more relaxed you'll be and the more time you'll have to be able to check around you without panicking or anything. Just try and think that to be a safe driver you need to know what's around you anyway, so mirror checks semi-regularly are helpful to you to know what's happening. You just need to check before you do anything major (such as change speed/brake/stop) and then semi-regularly inbetween to show you're aware. When you get into the real world you don't have to be so nutty as to check every 5/10 seconds but it's still a good habit. Just make sure you're not taking your eyes off the road infront of you too much :)

I think some cars before 2005 didn't have abs and cars before 2000 didn't have abs also got my test next week

Oh yeah ABS began to creep in to cars in the late 80's but only really started to be fitted properly from the early 2000's onwards. It's a life saver! Good luck on the test :)

My emergancy stop on my test was down hill! I had no idea what the weird vibrating thing was, must have been the ABS. I thought I'd broke the car😂😂
