I can tell you one thing for certain: every hospital is an entirely different experience. Different culture, different levels of biomeds, vastly different management style, different ethics etc. Enjoy the ride, use every moment as an opportunity to learn and improve.

My last place had a policy where you lose all your PTO the moment you put in notice -zero buyback. So I will admit it was immensely satisfying to come back from a week and a half vacation and put in my two weeks notice.

Your employer will not give you any of these courtesies. Give a two week notice, no drama thats it.
