I don't get this notion of "old man" or "senior" everyone is saying. The guy was 50. I know plenty of 50 year old men that would not consider themselves "old". In reality, yes they obviously are not spring chickens and can't do anything against a 30 year old MMA fighter, but lets be real here...he's not some old man with a cane...he's a bar regular that got a smack for being disrespectful. If he just said no thank you, nothing would have happened. Instead, he did the typical "back in my day I would kick your ass" attitude by saying "I don't want that shit". The question is, would you turn down a free shot of whiskey to a guy who you feel could whoop your ass by saying "I don't want that shit", or would you say "I'm good". That's what I thought. I just picked up a bottle today at Feldmans. I was surprised at how smooth it was going down and the honey notes hit me first, then the woody oak, then the 40% hit... I think it would taste a bit better with a big chunk of ice in it to tone down the harsher notes but overall this is a decent whiskey

Ive been enjoying this for a while now. I enjoy the mix of sweet and a light bitterness slight honey and woodsy notes. I drink my whiskey or scotch neat and feel it does open up while in glass for a bit. If you add one ice cube to your glass it changes the nose profile while sipping. Enjoyable drink IMO. Great review my bearded friends

I have found the proper way to drink Proper Twelve, or most Irish Whiskey for that matter, is to pour a dram in your glass, then splash enough Laphroaig 10 year on top to make it taste like a proper whisky. This makes your bottle of Laphroaig last considerably longer. That being said, I like Proper 12!

If you add a couple drops of water from a straw and keep smelling & tasting and adding water you will find more smells coming out also flavour as you taste. It's a blend so I would usually use it for rusty nails mixing with drambuie. I'm a single malt guy if drinking neat.

Distilled in one of Ireland's oldest distilleries, with all the various "left over" all blended into one + some added flavoring. Choosing the reputable distiller is for convincing people that it's good, it's a win win situation for both parties involved. Good for conor, because he can use the name of the distillery, good for the distillery because they can use conor's name and at the same time discard their left overs so both parties profit! Average joe and college students are -$58 down but are happy to get drunk, real whiskey drinkers are -$58 down and feels like they fell for a meme.

I was under the assumption bourbon was a protected spirit and had to be aged a minimum of 2 years, aged in new charred oak barrels, 51% corn and limestone filtered or it couldn't be labeled as bourbon although I know there are some out there that use wine and port barrels to age in. The climate in Ireland is so cool that 3 years isn't enough. That's why you see Canadian whiskey that's usually aged 9 to 12 years opposed to a 4 year old bourbon that's usually has alot more flavor and earthy notes. You guys said you're in Texas , what's your thoughts on Garrison Bros bourbon? I love it and treat myself to a bottle a couple times a year.

I used to like Jameson until I tried Proper 12. Now it's my go to whiskey. I personally find it smoother and better tasting for a lower priced whiskey. I love the cork bottle too. All bottle should go back to the cork style instead of that annoying aluminum screw type.

I've drank whiskey for 15 years, and fuck any reviews doubting this... It is a great whiskey. Goes particularly well with a slice of lime and 1 shot of ginger ale. If you like it straight, it may not have the nuances of higher priced whiskey but it's very smooth and tastes good. BUT, if you are looking for a substitute to jack/Jameson n coke, this is far better. My new favorite.

Get the fuck out of here ya big fanny, if you read my comment I said it's not an elite whisky. It's comparable to a cheap mixer like jack Daniels etc. I enjoyed it, grow a pair and accept that haha
