Proper way to close a casement window.

Quit wearing down the hardware on your casement windows; here's the proper way to close them.

Thank u for this. I wish I would’ve seen it a little sooner ! I think I might have ruined my uncles windows by turning it that full last turn to make sure it’s shut tight and now we have one of the windows stuck wide open.! Turn the crank and it will open wider, but can’t get closed past one crank. Did I ruin it all the way and do we need to have the whole crank replaced?
