If you bought the instructions like I did, cut 2 lining, 1 outer for main fabric. Connect the sheets that need to be connected. For side strap cut 2 outer and 2 mirrored versions of it. And you only need like 1/2 yd fabric for lining/main fabric, maybe 3/4 max.

Pretty much whatever you want as long as you keep it the same throughout the project and it catches all the layers. I made this bag with 1/2 inch seam allowance.
