Hello...I would like to make this bag BUT I would need the Main compartment at least 1 1/2” taller and wider. The front compartment can remain - would put ID holder and checkbook in front. Hi guys, your videos are really useful, a question I am looking a sewing machine, checking your suggestion Singer heavy duty 4423, what is the difference with the 4411? I am asking that because I want to work with fanny packs. Can I use the 4411 or 4423?. Congrats for your videos are amazing!

So there is a problem with the pattern pieces, when making the zipper panel the width is an inch smaller than the gusset pieces. I ended up having to trim them down the 2 inches in order to match up to the completed zipper panel. So unfortunately the purse is thinner. Next time I will know to increase the width of each zipper panel piece by a half inch

what is the seam allowance for this bag? i bought the pattern and i have not heard you mention it...

Hi, The seam allowance is 1/4" except where he tells you to sew as close as you can to the edge.

for me the zipper panel only used a 1/8" seam allowance otherwise its to narrow. I have email this company about this issue but never heard back.

Might seem weird but try uping the scale when you print it out so it's larger, I tried it and it seemed to be all good

Zipper Panels are not wide enough, even when sewing at 1/8 in seam allowance, my finished top zipper and pieces combined only measured 2.5 inches wide. I would suggest you update your pattern to accommodate a 1/4 in seam allowance on the zipper pieces and add additional width to achieve achieve a top zipper panel that is the same as the bottom side panels. The bag that you show being made appears to have the wider zipper panels. Not cool, having fussy cut fabric only to find out the measurement are off.

I cringe whenever I see that term because in British English, "fanny" is the slang word for "vagina". Otherwise this is a great video. I'm looking for a bag pattern for the boyfriend and this is great.
