I thought this was brilliant. I really liked Melanie, the woman doing the property development. She was smart and fun and funny and did a clever thing by setting herself a tight schedule that she then ran over... but it's like when you set the alarm to go off in the morning and then give yourself extra time to snooze! I wished they had featured the builder a bit more as he seemed to do a brilliant job (despite first impressions) and Sarah has said that you keep your builders if they're good; building the relationship and taking them on with you to the next project. I thought she was lucky, considering that he was a last minute 'choice.' Furniture was great and all the choices made for fittings and built-ins. The ONE thing that fell short was the Art work. The big painting was WAY TOO in-your-face bizarre and a rather disturbing subject; NOT neutral at all and could be very upsetting for SOME people. I LOVED the fact that she bought an original piece of work. Kudos. As for the colour photographs of her holidays ... they weren't great photos, they weren't well framed and they were hung too high. I thought they detracted from the finish. But THAT is the ONLY thing I think she got wrong. I admire her work and skills and her even keeled demeanour. Brava! I don't think I could do it. It takes an amazing mind to juggle all the elements involved... like the conductor of an orchestra or the director of a film. It's a massive skill to have.

I would never let strangers live in my house, but good for people who do and make money that way! 2K for that hideous painting.Wow. Love the kitchen and loft, but not those sofas. They'll get dirty quickly and they look like they're covered in sheets.
