Hey Mike, this is my first comment on your videos, but I’ve been watching your videos for the past 18 months. After some heavy rains and drainage issues I bought a BX23S tractor to fix the grading, install 150ft of perimeter French drain, and maintain 1/2 mile of gravel road. I’d never operated a tractor in my life. Between your channel and Messicks I consider myself a fairly competent operator now after 150+ hours. This week I’m renting a KX57 for a week to excavate my foundation to waterproof and install another French drain system to resolve any future drainage problems. Your videos on the excavator made me confident that I can slowly tackle this project. So thanks for the content! Keep it up.

I always like seeing the videos that show the different uses for equipment and tools. I take it as a learning experience and not a commercial. It's also refreshing to hear someone say "I don't care" once in a while.

Besides being a learning experience for operating it can also be a learning experience if someone is looking at buying a small tractor for their home/homestead. I was lucky when I bought mine, the person I talked with asked me a bunch of questions about how I was going to use the tractor. Then we talked about what he thought I needed beyond what thought I needed. He was correct on everyone of his suggestions, in fact I think he was holding back on some things to help me stay in budget. I've bought a couple more attachments since. Mike is correct as well, Quick Attach is the way to go, on the back and on the front, that is the best investment I have ever made. Thanks for another Great video M&M!

I agree...between this channel and A Ritter Bit Will Do I'm learning a lot about tractor stuff. I plan on purchasing a Kubota BX2680 with the loader and quick attach bucket, roto tiller, pallet forks, box blade, and 60" mid mount mower here in the near future hopefully so all these videos with people using these BX series tractors is a huge help in me learning a lot about their features, attachments, implements, etc. prior to purchasing...its also helped me learn what implements and attachments I should get immediately and what I can wait on.

Good morning Mike and Melissa, and Ty. Great video Mike, sure glad you brought Melissa into the videos and taught her all the different jobs you have to do to maintain and care for the property and equipment. You both have had a great experience learning and teaching each other and SO MANY FOLKS throughout all of your videos. You are both human and you have learned so much yourself and passed on those things for all to see and learn about in your daily lives and are true blessings for us to watch and learn from. Thank you!! Really enjoy watching your videos and so glad you teamed up with Kubota and that you’re constantly teaching us something about the equipment, it’s operating techniques, how you do things with the equipment. Don’t let those get under your skin that say you’re just doing commercials for the company, those that have watched you from the beginning know different. You tell it like it is and we appreciate that. You’re doing a great job, keep it up. Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋

Another great video. I have a BX23S and I love it. A lot of folks thought it was a toy until they see the work you can do with it. I had one friend that was especially cynical about my "Tonka Tractor" He had been an operator of heavy equipment for years. That changed when he had some major work needed behind his house and there wasn't room to get anything any bigger than the BX back there. He was looking at several weekends of pick and shovel work. Half a Saturday later the work was done and he decided maybe it wasn't a waste of money. I love getting the last laugh.

I agree Mike that a Kubota is indispensable. I have 2 acres and have a BX 2370. I bought it 7 years ago and don't know what I would do without it. I have used it to clear property so we could build, level areas, plow snow, move dirt, mow, and lift heavy objects. It is a versatile machine. Kubota makes a great product. I only need to do routine maintenance. I also needed to replace the "O" rings on the front knuckle lately. The best investment I've made. Bought it at M & R also.

I had dealings with Kubota equipment years ago. And never had any problems with them. My brother would never dream of anything but John Deere. Even his walk behind snow blower was a John Deere. Then his new tractor broke. John Deere gave him the run around because he wasn't a big buyer. I told him go get a Kubota. He did and loves it. Now he tells everybody the same thing. Kubota makes good equipment. Things are looking good at the Morgan's

It's so nice to see a man taking care of his equipment. Kudos, Mike! Why in this world would someone not think it's awesome that you partner w Kubota? How sweet it is! Also great that you mow your trails and the apple orchard, just very responsible you are, plus makes walks through the woods more enjoyable. The length of this video is perfect, again another pro video. Wow, it's almost concrete time! That's gonna make a nice video or two! The land rake? Yep, working smarter not harder, so glad you have that implement! $10 - 15k for one venue? Wow. Owning a big nice barn could bring in some money, but I think there would have to be a lot of maintenance and prep work by owners. I don't think you'd have that much extra time, not anytime soon anyway. Mike, this was fun, thanks, see ya tomorrow! 👍🚜❤

I watched your channel since the first time you had a Kubota, an L series I think. And 5 years ago I bought a BX2370 for my property. I even built a firewood hauler for mine, like you did for your old Kubota. Last year, after seeing how well the quick hitch did on your BX, I bought one for mine, exact same model - QH05. I love it. Only one implement didn't work with it, but luckily I have a buddy that welds and we fixed it up to make it work (the pins were closer together and we had to weld extensions to the side to spread them out to engage the QH). I love the little tractor, and now with the quick hitch it makes it so much easier to swap the attachments now. Have a great day. Cheers...

From my house in town to my 63 acre "farm" is 29 miles. Go there most every week for last 12 years. On the way I've watched fairly small acreage of raw land converted to "estates" and most common to all is after a year or two what was cleared regrows to trash timber and what gets maintained is usually less than a quarter acre around the new McMansion. If you have a yard a riding mower is fine. If you've got acreage you MUST have the necessary equipment to maintain it.

Interesting discussion on the barn-wedding venue. For anyone thinking about this, as we shopped for a venue several years ago with our daughter, what was one of the most interesting aspects was the water and septic impacts when you convert a barn over. A lot of people eating and drinking need a robust set of restroom facilities.

I have basically the John Deere equivalent of your machine and I can tell you that I have already gotten more than my money's worth out of it. The backhoe is handy for many things, cutting around trees and such is so easy with the brush (bush) hog, I use the box blade and the loader a bunch as well. It is hands down the "Swiss Army knife" of all of my machines. Also, I just wanted to add after seeing the end of your video. I'm not partial to any manufacturer when it comes to tractors. I happened to choose the John Deere just because I have a dealer close by which is good for maintenance and/or (if needed) warranty issues. In my mind there isn't a world of difference between a Kubota, Mahindra, RK, TYM , John Deere or (insert manufacturer here) when it comes to compact or sub-compact tractors. The same could be said for some of the larger machines. I own a Bobcat skid loader (aka skid steer) only because I got a good deal on it. I wouldn't object to getting a Deere, Cat or many other makes. I have a very good friend that has an excavator (Bobcat) similar to yours and he bought it for the same reason that I bought my John Deere tractor. There is a dealer close by so "convenience" is a factor should he have a break down (he uses his machine as part of his job). In the end, they are all good tools and will get the job done.

Mike, have you thought of building a firewood stand or stands like Hometown Acres to see if you can sell a few of Hunter's bundled firewood? It may make enough to pay for a few of his chicken sandwiches at BK.

“If I have enough time, I may dig my own grave.” Mike, you’ll never have enough time for that, so prepare yourself to live forever. Great video, I really like the way that you show how the machines save time and effort.

I had a little Yanmar YM-187 with a Woods 650 backhoe about 30 years ago. Like the Kubota BX it could do a lot of work and fit in tight places. It was easy to trailer. Great size for a starter machine or a secondary tractor for mowing/landscaping.

Just from all the sponsoring of youtube channel owners kubota has helped innumerous amounts of people get a tractor that would of never really thought about. I cut the cord to tv about three years ago now but as it seemed to have been three minutes of tv time and five minutes of commercials to make for a insufferable amount of time wasted and now internet has become the go to for entertainment so it pays them to sponsor good channels that reach millions of people. Were I as young as you Mike, I am just so happy when making lumber. Any kind of trees into lumber was my keeping my sanity straight. I still share as many different videos as I can. Being so banged up in my older age has made me a prisoner in my own home. With the millions of people alone in just the united states less all the other countries that watch our channels for additional people who will see and have to have one. Also assembled in the usa is quite helpful so its maybe taking longer to get all the viewers subscribed but almost inevitable to make one successful in having a channel. I could do it were I inclined, but sadly i'm just lazy or maybe honestly still can't stand even on crutches for more than ten to twenty minutes so here I set and really angry at how luck just plumb ran out on me. I know better but just can't break over my moods. A lot of it has been the really cold nights yet... last night it was 43 for the overnight chill but up till now has be in the twenties and then get up to either overcast or rain. I can count all the days last month of sunshine on both hands and have a few leftover. And I hate cold or rain or both at same time. I watch a bit of everything and seen Florida with only maybe days as in like ten days of rain and so a long drought. I see those really nice older houses that people just move out of and leave it all behind so the house is unlivable in those tropical weather times. I see nice weather there where you'ns are at and you have good weather now. Us, not so much.

Sounds like an upcoming great business opportunity for all the women of the family with the wedding venue. Someone can learn the photography and another the food prep and of course Melissa can do all the planning. WINK WINK!! She has plenty time on her hands!!🙃🤔 oh that's right she has her own family to run and keep up with which takes up most of any free time. Good luck trying to find the time to run a business!! If anyone can it's you.

You were talking about places being turned into wedding and meeting venues. I know of and been to a couple of those in Minnesota. One almost in the middle of Minneapolis that used to be all, but it's just part riding stables for horses and the rest was converted into a meeting place. Went to a wedding reception of my cousin's child on my dad's side at that one. The other one is owned by a cousin on my mother's side that is a Farm Stead all converted into a venue south of St Cloud. The hog farrowing shed has been turned into a museum for his record collection The Silo for the dairy barn with the loft is converted into a soundstage on the top for recording. Beautiful acoustics with the domed roof. ( Minnesotan Bobby Vee or Bobby Vinton did some recording there )! There are practice rooms and related equipment levels to the ground floor. We had a family reunions in the barn. The Loft is a dancehall with a large 2 person swing suspended from the rafters. With the DJ booth on top of one of the grain bins on either side of where the hay came in to fill the loft. The grain bins are now human waste deposit centers. The ground floor milking parlor all converted into Gathering space for venues. A biking/ walking path starts at a gazebo with an Arched Trellis as an entrance for taking pictures. He has built a Stairway from the ground up to a balcony on the opposite end from the grain bins with doors into the loft, which doubles as a shooting platform for a fenced-in Gun Range restricted to 22 long rifle only. A little bit proud of him and his brother that worked with my uncle as Carpenters around the cities, until he retired. Then they retired, after working for corporate companies that pushed out the little guys bidding on jobs. The Farmer is what he worked on in the offseason and his brother built a mansion on a lake!

Until you owned one, some people have no real understanding how versatile a compact tractor can be. Looks like you’re about ready to put down the under floor heating tubes. Looking forward to seeing the cement poured. Your cement contractor should be really happy with the time you saved him with all your prep work. Nice job. Stay safe

I thought of getting a bigger compact tractor, but the way you utilize your BX really opened my eyes. Maybe I don't need a bigger tractor.

I'm a little over a year into my bx23s ownership as well and just shy of 100 hours. The only problem I have with it is not having bought one sooner. It has saved me time and time again.
