Question: Is having a wooden cross with Jesus hanging on my wall considered "idolatry"? The Bible says: Exodus 20:3-6 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Therefore, we cannot have a cross, pictures, paintings, sculptures, or anything else with Jesus on it, whatsoever. Because of verse 4: "4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above...."

@Erich kempka Explain Exodus 20:4 4 Thou shalt not "make" unto thee any graven image, ..... It is not only referring to bowing down or worshipping to the graven image. The Holy Bible also specifically states, "Do not make"..... Then it continues by saying, "or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above...." Which includes a cross with Jesus. The scripture is very clear: NOT to make any graven images, or ANY likeness of any thing that is in Heaven above....

@Erich kempka What? Where do you get that a house is a graven image? Please read the scripture: "4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any GRAVEN IMAGE or ANY LIKENESS of any thing that is in HEAVEN ABOVE, or that is in the EARTH BENEATH, or that is in the WATER under the earth:" The scripture is very clear by pointing out not to have any GRAVEN IMAGE or ANY LIKENESS that is in the: 1) HEAVEN ABOVE 2) EARTH BENEATH 3) WATER under the earth (ocean) Graven image Definition: "Something that is not alive, but made dead, from the grave." A graven image is making an image, out of something that is dead in the "grave". Is a house in a grave? What goes in a grave, after it is dead? Humans? Yes. Animals? Yes. Is a house, boat, car, or anything else that a man makes that you are referring to, in the scriptural category definition as a graven image? No. I hope this helps you. But for the sake of your salvation, please pray before you read The Holy Bible. And please read the scriptures. Do not add things, that do not exist. God bless you!

@@genesmith4386 You know, the angels on the ark of the covenant are graven images since they are the likeness of something in heaven. Hebrew definition of graven image: pesel - n idol: - carved (graven) image. usually made out of wood or stone. The spiritual application is putting something before God and worshipping it.

33. From generation to generation, the Truth has always been with only one living prophet messenger on the earth. He is the one who has the keys of the Kingdom; he is the one who is the way, the truth and the life in his time. And when you open the Bible, you see Isaiah, Jeremiah, Amos, Ezekiel, and so on. They are names of prophets. The truth, it is with a living prophet messenger, and not in a church. But what are you doing therefore with the Bible which is in your hands? If not, is it really for Salvation that you go to church? And yet, if God saves a Baptist, a Pentecostal, a revival church member or assembly of gods, how can He condemn the Pharisees, Judas and Cain?

Do you believe that we can pray that our flight will not take place in winter or on the sabbath. In the name Jesus, full fills love for one another and the love for our Father? Matthew 24:20 Do you believe that asking our Father If his teachings were spoken through Jesus is a door? John 7:16-17 Jesus said I tell you the truth if anyone hears and believes him who sent me has eternal life. John 5:24 Do you have life? have you ask the Father and if you did, did you hear? Can you understand that how many you have lead astray can repentance save us from the truth? I will not accuse you before our Father but only he who does the will of our Father. If anyone chooses to do the will of our Father he will ask the Father if his teachings were spoken through Jesus.
