weird that the kick is only on the left and snare only on the right. I assume something in the isolation process did this.

That's made on purpose. So you can isolate the right and left side and pick only the kick or only the snare. Then turn it into mono to have it in both ears. It saves tracks

Ulrich is one of the most lacking drummers in all of metal and anyone who defends his simplicity as a stroke of genius is either mistaking a lack of talent for genius or has no idea what they are hearing and looking at. Hes a fucking hack and anyone who DOES have an understanding of composition knows it.
