You want to marry him, but not right now? Thats what an engagement is, agreeing to marry someone...Later. Sometimes even multiple years later. If you don't even want to agree on marrying someone later at some undetermined date. Then you don't want to marry them.

that's the whole point. a ring on her finger takes her off the market. right now shes dating/relationship, so men would still think theres a chance, engagement makes a lot of men take a step back. and the fact that the bitch moved on in months shows shes probably was talking to that guy already, and till the point it didnt get serious with the other guy, she kept trying to pull him back but once it did, she cut the cord with three words.

Is there ever actually a right moment or right time. Things in life can go both up and down at any moment in time. If she's not ready now she'll never be ready so he actually does have the right to move on. And her only saying yes when OP has had enough is only words because once she had him again she would say something to hold off on planning the wedding or planning anything else in life. One thing I'll never understand is if someone isn't sure about someone else in a relationship then why stay with them.

I don’t think she knows much about engagement. Just because you’re engaged doesn’t mean you have to rush to get married. Sometimes, people have long engagement. Years long, sometimes. Maybe they are waiting for the right time, or trying to save money. Engagement is just the first step toward marriage for most. So, if she wanting to get married later, she should have just said yes. And I can’t believe other people were standing up for her. I mean, I guess many probably didn’t know she said “Not yet” twice, but still…

That must be tough, especially after waiting so long to propose. Not right now = either she's wanting to finish a single bucket list -the bc Or she thinks Op isnt at the right stage of life such as not now but after you graduate and have a good job. All reasons should have been im not ready and hears why.because conversation is king.

Maybe she feels she isn't ready for you yet, like she's in financial debt, or her schooling isn't completed, and she doesn't want to be a financial drain on you. There are other reasons that don't involve ' plan B".
