How would you compare this with the TOBS Sandalwood cream? Slickness? Smell?

Tobs i think is stronger in scent as far as performance goes they are very similar....

Thanks for the reply. I was stuck between the Proraso red (half the price) and TOBS. I wanted to try TOBS sandalwood since it’s so popular and praised by most shavers. But I will be going for the TOBS just cuz of the stronger scent.

I like the white... not much of a scent but works really great.... the red is sandalwood but very light

So I'm new to all this but you looked like you had already shaved to me. Just me? Also not understanding something, did you put some of the proraso into the cup? or did you wet the proraso then into the cup? you should film that stuff not you looking at it of camera. And do you just put the cap back on the proraso with it being wet? I just bought the same red tub and a nice Parker brush. Haven't used either yet.

No, i did not shave my face prior, the camera's not that good at this point. I would never shave my face twice in a day. And i loaded the brush right from the puck. Also i never put the cap back on a soap container once it's wet

I like to back this one off just a hair that way im not putting too much pressure on the threads...sone people dont feel its necessary. Just what I do to try and preserve it the longest I can.

sandalwood and shea butter, cant go wrong with shea butter.

I do agree soaps with shea butter work well and since I have many soaps LOL I'm well-versed in the powers of that stuff. When I first started wet shaving everybody seemed to think that bentonite clay was the thing to put in soaps when in reality it doesn't do shit. People seem to think it increases the slickness and it doesn't work as well as Butters do. Proraso figure that out a hundred years ago. They have a soap that is simple, works, time-tested and simply unfucked with.

@@CDShavinMurphy i dont find the green bad, but the white just after a week or two of use builds up like crazy. i stick to the green a lot , but ordered the red as i can't buy it locally... apparently some people still use cartridge razors and shaving goo in cans.

@@666dynomax yeah i don't like the goo in cans...Proraso Green is nice. The white i push to new people because it's cheap and a forgiving soap. Meaning if they go to hard it helps...

Yo dude I don't know if you have a Marshalls near you but I hear sometimes they have proraso soap. I went today and they only had the aftershave but a guy got the soap for $5.. Marshalls is basically like a Ross/TJ Maxx that sells overstock or out of season shit at a discount..

No One has to.. everyone could just pick up a 5blade mach3 or electric razor and be done in less then half the time.. But there's no 'Ritual' there's something special about "vintage" wetshaving..
