Nursing is stressful. Especially when youre a new nurse. I can relate to your story about the panic attack. Nursing school and the first year as a nurse were some of the most stressful, anxiety provoking times in my life.

Hello! I hope all is well. Do you know if Nurse Practitioners have to also help in cleaning feces like RNs? Im considering becoming an NP but Im uncomfortable with the idea of cleaning people.

hey!- well I think it depends on the type of NP you want to be- I have met some FNP working in the nursing hone who have done it because they saw that the nurses/CNAs were swamped- but I think very rare- NPs in general just assess and prescribe meds- a lot of them dont even wear scrubs so it all depends- some NPs have also went to do travel RN because of the money now

Nooo I didint the only experience I had was working with dementia patients in a nursing g home as an LPN before I became an RN!

Hey! I think it is definitely possible to work as a psychiatric nurse in America as I have met many nurses who are trained in another country. I would definitely put it on my resume! All you have to be a nurse in the us and apply to psychiatric nursing positions in the state where you will live in!
