Nothing wrong with apple barrel, people avoid it cause it’s cheap but it’s great paint and when you add certain things it can be perfect.

I agree. I love Apple Barrel acrylic paints for pouring. I have used other more expensive paints but I actually prefer Apple Barrel. The colors stay bright and fresh - I simply don't have any issues with this brand.

Are they permanent? Like can i use them on license plates?

I've used them in the past and still do for my artwork. I paint on white and black gesso-primed canvas with little to no issues. I don't thin them out; they are working well so far. First-time painters should use them to practice with before moving on to other more expensive paints.

I use Apple Barrel because I can’t afford Golden. I think it is better than other craft paint. Works well for me.

I am painting with apple barrel. The red and turquiouse seem fine but i cant get yellow to be uniform even in the 3rd coat. Any idea why is that and how to get it to cover uneven spots?

Great question! It may seem backwards, but try adding just a little white to the yellow. It will make it less see through, though it may take 2 or more layers. Best of luck!

Thanks for your question Terry! Yes, this paint will work on guitar chips because it's rated to work on plastic. The only thing you may encounter is: you might need to relayer the paint because it can be transparent at times. It will depend on the color of the chip. What do add a 1/4 Nut add some Bottle Water. Or Distilled Water. And shake now ore thinned . The faster the Hear the Nut hit the Thinner the Paint. It's also a good way. To know when you should add Water

my hope is to buy a big thing of white apple barrel paint to mix with colors to get gradients for painting on canvas, do you think it'll work ok for that mixing application? I haven't seen the video yet bc no joke i am stuck behind a 2:36 unskippable ad but i plan to watch it once this ad is over! XD

Hey and thanks for your question. Yes! White paint from Apple Barrel will be great for that purpose. Keep in mind that it's quite liquid and won't add any body to your mixtures. Two tips: make sure you're buying paint that has the same finish of the paints you are mixing with it. I.e. if you are using gloss finish paints, be sure to get white paint that has a gloss finish as well. These paints can sometimes settle and separate, so be sure to give the bottle a shake before mixing it into any color. Hope this helps!

I noticed they do better with a base coat. Without, they will take several coats for coverage depending on the surface.

I love how cheap it is but the fumes are so strong it gives me headaches even with the windows open 😭

So sorry to hear that you deal with fumes! In our experience, acrylic doesn't give off fumes or a strong smell. Although opening a window and putting a fan on is probably the best way to deal with that, you're right. Thanks for your comments, we like Apple Barrel too. :)
