I grew up in Tyrone but lived in PTC while our house was being built. The cons to me are A) no jobs really. Most of the major corporations are on the Northside of ATL so the only real good jobs are very hard to get (the Panasonics , Cooper Lighting, TDK, etc), so most people are commuting very far or they're pilots. B) Another con is its not built for young professionals to meet other young people to date or marry and maintain the "bubble". It's more for already married couples who want good schools. Only problem with that is the kids they raise leave and don't maintain the character or memories of the area C) Stores close early so after 10 pm it's Waffle House only D) Police seem to have quotas since crime isn't bad so traffic stops are common. D) There's no real higher education besides the Clayton State extension despite lots of smart kids in the area causing potential brain drain. E) Bored teens who do silly things since there's not much to do. Some of the most spoiled ruthless kids I've ever met were from PTC. F) Surrounded by Spalding, Clayton, Coweta and Fulton Counties so there's drug elements Also parts of PTC in Kedron were zoned for Sandy Creek HS which isn't a bad school but the stigma is that it is compared to McIntosh and Starrs Mills

Thanks for watching Quinton. I can't disagree with a lot you said! There is definitely no nightlife out here in PTC. Of course you have Tavern 74, but yes, everything shuts down early. I do see more people who grew up in Peachtree City come back when they have kids, because they love the golf cart lifestyle and of course the schools. Even though you can't ride golf carts to Sandy Creek.

There is one home park on hwy 54 behind the Publix near the cemetery but nothing is ever available and limited lots. Most people with kids live here for the schools even if the they have to pay extortion rental unit prices but as soon as the kids finish school, get out of the town. The rents have finally gone higher than Buckhead and the airport snobs who run the town are delighted.

They recently passed an ordinance that only Peachtree City cars can park in the lakes 😳😳😳
