Moved to Plano in 1995. It's not a bad city but if you're looking for the best bang for your buck you won't find it here unless you're fine with paying 400k plus for homes built in the 70s and 80s. And ugly ass, cookie cutter homes too. West Plano has the newest real estate but they are hovering around a million. With that money go 30 minutes north to Little Elm or The Colony and buy a house on the lake. Very culturally diverse which is a plus and also, like he said, mostly safe. Good schools. In a good location geographically. No real risk of natural disasters. Police seem to be bored so be careful driving after 10pm. Really good, diverse selection of restaurants and ethnic markets. Gyms and premium grocery stores like Whole Foods are abundant if you're a health freak. That's all. Thank you.

Plano definitely isn't the cheapest suburb. However, it offers a lot in regards to schools, safety, entertainment, etc

How is it you can afford to shop at Tiffany and Louis Vuitton but you can't afford a decent microphone? Thanks for the info. Some of your pros were cons and some of the cons were pros but I got the details. It still looks way too much like California for me, but I guess that will please my daughter who doesn't want to have to move to Texas. I'd prefer to avoid it myself but circumstances may require it and I've been in California almost 30 years longer than I ever wanted to. I thought I'd at least be able to move somewhere with less freaking traffic. I have no interest in fashion boutiques, which I don't even count as stores. They're museums where someone with disposable income sometimes buys a sculpture. And unpredictable weather will be a nice change from this perpetual sunshine... I can't even tan, man. I just burn.
@VIPRealty2 жыл бұрын
The unpredictable weather will get old. I'd prefer that 78 sunshine of San Diego.

I'm confused. So, are there clubs in Plano? It sounds like the nightlife is for families. I'm looking for a place as a recent college graduate. I like to party, skateboard, and go to the dog park. Also, I would like to be around coffee shops or kava bar to work at.
@VIPRealty2 жыл бұрын
Then Uptown or downtown Dallas is the place for you. Just need a video on Dallas best neighborhoods which covers both areas.

I lived in Plano, and found it to be run down with a few pockets of nice shops & restaurants. Depressing…Real estate is very over priced, houses with little thought of design.

Thank you for this! My husband accepted a job there and we are coming from Miami this summer . I can see myself there . I’m not the partying type and I like yo go bed at 8pm- Miami lifestyle isn’t really my cup of tea… I just never seen snow before and I’m terrified of tornadoes 🌪 so I don’t know what to expect. I have one winter jacket that I’ve owned since I was 17 and maybe 2 sweaters. Any advice on how to dress for weather below 45F? ☃️ this poor Florida girl is going to freeze

Plano houses are ugly if you ain’t got 700k or more anything under that is a shack and built in the 60s,70s,80s

@@VIPRealty I started off looking in Plano area that where I want to be but unfortunately couldn’t find anything decent for 500k. Everything was so ugly and old for all those prices, at least the housing market at that time. December 2021 to Jan 2022. End up in Forney with a big house and plenty of land. But I still want to be in the Frisco and Plano area. Maybe in 3 years when my kids finish school.
