I feel like you're not giving that 2.4L enough credit. I just bought a 2019 and I found the 2.4 perfectly fine. I had an '07 just prior with the V6. I did not find the '19 wanting for power, you just have to ask for it. Sounds like your 0-60 test was in Eco mode or something, mine is faster than that. If you really want to get it all riled-up, use Ds on the selector. Taht said I do NOT miss the V6's thirst. I used to get 16MPG on my short commute and a light foot. Same effort in ECO mode with the 2.4 I get 26MPG. Easilly get over 30 on the highway.

Christopher May I have a Dodge Journey GT 2018 and Is being a perfect car with no problems, what I notice is that is supposed to be a small SUV but comparing it with all the the small SUV’s: rav4, rogue, CRV, outlander, etc, the journey is a lot bigger, is almost as long as a highlander( mid size SUV) , and is the most powerful of all of them, with the 3.6 V6 pentastar with 283hp, the engine I think is the most refine of all small SUV’s ( not sure the most reliable) the 6 speed auto is very very smooth, the bad is that the fuel economy for the size of the car is not good, 16 mpg city and 23 high way, Is the only thing that I don’t like, the other thing is that being a 2018 top trim, in the front it has full halogen lights, how that can be possible even in the most expensive model, and the other thing is that, how the most expensive model doesn’t have a automatic liftgate 😕

So after weeks of research and test drives, I just bought a 2019 Outlander SEL with the touring pack. I wanted a cheap three row SUV for when my friends and I go to my beach house - we can all travel in one car. I looked at virtually everything in the category. The Outlander offered the most features for the best value. I could barely have gotten a Highlander L for the same price and I'm not sure why, they build quality isn't too different, offers a comparable 4 Cylinder engine and the interior volume is about the same, but whatever. Anyway, I don't do base models, and the Highlander and Pilot are too expensive in the higher trims. So I dumbed down and the Outlander offers the most for the least amount of money. It's slow, but I fit 6 average size adults (between 5'7 and 5'11) into my Outlander and for short trips it's perfectly acceptable for average size adults. I even rode in the third row to see what it was like. Playing with the interior dimensions with the seats and you can definitely fit adults in all three rows without question. Will it be great for long trips? yeah, probably not, but for what I wanted it for, I don't regret my decision at all.

We have an older Outlander. I was looking at the more current reviews like this, as Consumer Reports ripped it up, all kinds of complaints. Interestingly the older reviews on our car had criticisms for things I find to be an advantage. Like how that car's third seats fold into the floor, and are small. They're small in this car, too but honestly we don't use them. They are for occasional use, we don't have kids but visiting kids can still ride. I love that. In fact I think this newer car with the bigger third seat would put that seat in our way most of the time. I think it would make a better two row, but with that said again, having the occasional seats is still an advantage. Consumer Reports just hated it.

We just purchased a 2016 Outlander GT. I have had it two days and my son and I just completed a 600 mile baseball weekend in it. It ran flawless, was comfortable, quiet and roomy. We picked it because for the price and year it had way more features then the Traverse and Arcadia of same year and price point. If you can find one, and need a family mover, you will not be disappointed. Plus the 2016 looks like it could have been released last year the styling and tech is so advanced. My only cons are the buttons feel cheap for the LKA and Proximity warning and the turn stalk fells and sounds like your breaking celery every time you engage it. I found myself just holding it until I executed the turn or just tapped it for 3 blink mode. It's a under rated, under appreciated vehicle.

Nice Review Of 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander

Look at the all new 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe when shopping for a SUV
@SOBIsHobbies5 жыл бұрын
@Linize Korean cars are selling like a hot cake these days. Amount of features, comfort and convenience that you get with them is unbeatable. Mitsubishi is history now. They won't be able to stack up against Korean cars. Hell Hyundai is one of the top 5 automakers in the World now. There's a reason for that. New Hyundai Santa Fe is miles better than this Outlander. I guess you have a horrible taste.

If you put down the 2nd & 3rd rows, can a 6 ft. tall adult put a sleeping bag in the back and sleep comfortably? Is there enough room to stretch out your legs while lying down?
@nitinmalik25405 жыл бұрын
1.85m of space with normal driving position of front seats for a 5'10" driver, which could easily stretch to 2m by sliding the front seats when needed. So you'll be fine.

Been wanting one for a long time. Many members of my family swear by mits and I've heard only.amazing things about reliability. My mother in law rented an Outlander sport and it was kinda cramped (mind you my spouse and I are tall people hes 6'1 I'm 5"8) is the Outlander more spacious I really want to get one
@tritchie62725 жыл бұрын
Sounds to me like they need to trade the CVT out for an automatic and put a few more Ponies under the hood. Then if they keep the price down they could probably sell better. As for the KIA how much more will it cost a person to get the KIA? It sounded like a pretty nice crossover.
@stargellblackstar39685 жыл бұрын
cvt isnt as bad in the Outlander as the other companies... still a bad tranny but still better than the rest. from what I've read anyways... I wanted one of these but it's too small for my family.

Hi E.D. What's your opinion on this: I just bought a 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo and I really wanna drive it hard but only if it won't damage the engine over time. Are these cars built to be revved high all day long provided the engine is warm and you don't hit redline? Or am I only supposed to occasionally floor it when needed, and "granny drive" daily? Thanks.

@ThisOldSkater5 жыл бұрын
'fraid not. You'll have to rip your CDs to mp3 and have them on your phone to stream over BT or stick them on a USB drive. I STRONGLY recommend using a short USB extension on the drive or you risk breaking the drive off and damaging the port.

I have a 2015 outlander with the 2.4 and CVT. The cvt gave out a 4 months ago but was warrantied. The CVTs are junk especially the shatco ones. I'm afraid to own it any longer. Even Toyota can't make a decent CVT minus the ecvt because it's geared. they're recalling a lot. The transmission is the weakest link of the whole thing. The engines are good.

The Mitsubishi Outlander has multi issues, Faulty fuel pump, faulty transmission. Mitsubishi replaced the Fuel Pump free of cost During 2011 which was my model. I had the major issues with the transmission/DVT, My entire engine collapsed. I took Mitsubishi to court and won the legal battle after 3 years. During 2016 Mitsubishi recalled 80,000 vehicles for free replacement of the CVT. Check the internet you will get enough complaints and information to substantiate these issues.
