In all honesty, you’re the first person that I’ve ever seen make cheek piercings work. They look adorable! 😍

i have my rook pierced and one 'hack' i discovered to help with the sleeping issue is to either get a neck pillow or a pillow with a hole in it and place your ear in the gap. I did this with the neck pillow and it allowed me to sleep and my side without it irritating the piercing.

I've done this with all of my ear piercings! Works wonders.

I got my my rook done at the beginning of a depressive episode, and I felt so much better (obviously not cured + my mood stabilisers definitely help so much). Maybe it was the endorphins, or doing something completely for myself; maybe it does help with stress, physiologically, or maybe it’s just placebo. What ever it is, all that matters is I feel better. Whatever works! Thanks for the video 😊 *Side note* :my rook was the least painful of my piercings! Literally right after it was done, I couldn’t even feel it (no soreness, except a little when I clean it). The same day I got it, the piercer helped change my helix jewellery, which are 100% healed, and those were more sore than my rook 😂

I think the whole "relieves stress" thing may not be true for everyone. I have anxiety and such, but my rook piercing didn't make a difference with it. :\ Not coming at you or anything, just a heads up for the people that want it for that reason alone :)
@NativeBeautyyy5 жыл бұрын
Personally, I don't really think it would help much or at all. I am still just as stressed and full of anxiety as I was before I got it done lol but some people claim it helps them. :)

A thing that I do for my piercings that is way easier than trying to do a Sea salt soak on a bumpy surface is soak a cotton ball in your solution and then hold it up to your piercing. I hope this makes sense & hope I could help out (:
@spontaneously2random6 жыл бұрын
I had mine pierced a couple days ago and it throbs. Using a cotton ball sounds awesome. I think I will try it! It doesn't help that a have a menacing toddler hell bent on messing with my piercings 😂 🙈 or that I moved the piercing to try to get the salt water in there. Upon reading several articles I think it is best to not move it at all and try the cotton ball to it. Thank you. (And thank you to the youtuber who made this video 😊)

I hade my lobe pieced twice with a gun and my cartilage (at the top) pierced once with a gun 😬 I know, and the cartilage didn't hurt at all really but the lobe did a bit. I'd say the cartilage where the rook piecing would be is thinner that the cartilage I got pierced before, so do u think it would hurt if I got the rook pieced with a needle?

Con-most piercers place them where the piercee can't see them in the mirror thus negating the entire point of having them as well as making it harder to clean/ change jewellery.
@NativeBeautyyy7 жыл бұрын
Nettrawler very good con! I just want to say that some piercers don't have any other option due to someone's individual anatomy. :)
@nettrawler12027 жыл бұрын
Makes sense, I just wish they'd done mine where the cartilage begins to flare out to meet the flat part of the ear. Even if I contort myself I can only see a third of the top in its current location.

Hey I'm just curious, but if you took your cheek piercings out and let the whole close would they leave dimples?
@evillartx7 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure they wouldn't if you naturally don't have dimples, because dimples are like the skin just naturally sinking in there, but if you only have the dimple piercings, the only one forming those "dimples" is the fact that the jewelry's pushing on it
@marielaherrera93307 жыл бұрын
it might depend on your own body, most people I know who have taken their dimple piercings out have been left with permanent dimples!

@tamekalougoon6557 жыл бұрын
MagsAverage Life hey! I know this is super late and your question has probably been answered, but it's not unusual to find things like gunk around the piercing. I've had mine ears done for over 3 years and still find it. Generally, it's just a build up of dirt, dead skin and other grit that sometimes get stuck there. As long as it isn't hurting, and isn't showing any signs of irritation or infection, you should be good!
