Do you know the pay in Illinois ? Honestly I’m debating to do this as a mid career and go to school still to become a high school counselor but I’m nervous because I keep hearing the cons ! And I’m not so artsy ( molding products etc ) How can you move up?

Ashley Hurtado hey there! I’m not sure the pay in Illinois, we are from Florida. I will say roughly assistants can make anywhere from $13-26 hr it depends on the state, experience, and the office. If you are considering this field check out our new video 5 reasons why you shouldn’t be a dental assistant so you can have an idea on what to expect. Also, most offices will require certifications and experience. Therefore, you should look into the dental assisting programs around you. Hope we were helpful 🙂

Nah , more cons and actually pros. Firstly the extremely low salary, working with 🍆 face dentist, more likely being unappreciated and a long journey of finding the right office for you. It is only one pro , the satisfaction of helping patients 😊.
