Danny, David and the DKDKTV team should be proud of their accomplishments. They started as reaction/vlogs and were able to create an e-commerce store and even produced a Netflix quality reality dating show.

That is literally the most serious I’ve ever seen Danny on camera. I’m so sad, it’s the end of an era. As many others have said there was a perspective from DKDK tv that I haven’t gotten from any other channels and it will be sorely missed. Danny you are not a failure people make mistakes, don’t give up. Do DKDK news or something to that effect. Build yourselves up again you can do it just make sure you do what you need to do. You can make it again. Don’t be scared, be smart. Instead of doing Ramyun & Chill as a destination show do it locally. Have everyone get together as a group first, then have them do blind dates daytime, evening. Have them do group events where they have to accomplish tasks, do a treasure hunt where you have some of your sponsors involved plus local stores. You can come up with so many ideas and still have a great show on a low budget. Take care, do not give up 😊

I admire 7 years on YT is such an accomplishment. The idea and implementation of Naked Seoul is such an accomplishment. If they close down either business it is okay. Like any relationship, Danny and David need a huge break. Making Ramyon and Chill was physically and mentally exhausting and had so many financial repercussions that it’s completely normal that they are feeling depleted, exhausted, drained of all creative juice and require much needed rest and space. I suggest keeping DKDK and letting whichever one wants to do it solo with a guest and see what the year gives. Either the Duo will be stronger than ever or move on to discover something better and unique for them both. Wishing them both luck on this journey.

Anna, you are that supportive friend that tries to get people to see the positive in everything. Being a creator is hard and sometimes you just burn out!! Danny, David and DKDKTV will always be the GOATS of Korean entertainment content on YT. To this day you'll see their OG videos mentioned in comments of people new to Kpop and Korean culture. Just like any other relationship sometimes you need a break from each other. Learn from them Anna, know when to take a break and when it's okay to say I just don't feel creative anymore.

I went through the same thing in my real estate investment career, every entrepreneur goes through this. When it's your first success you don't even consider it will end and you don't know how to calculate for risk, especially in a new and untested media format and new untested technology. This fact alone proves your time spent was an unquestionable success. You, have a lot of knowledge others will want, time as a consultant could be worth considering. Just pick something new, put your head down and do it again. Just prepare for the end well in advance so your next project is ready to go. And remember there is till a lot to learn. Once an entreprenuer always an entreprenuer.

Its ok to move on in life! Learning from experiences is part of life. My fav area from DKDKTV was the breakdown of Korean messages in MVs, and I will be forever thankful for those. Also R&C was amazing! Anna dont stop beeing annoying aslong as u have fun filming everything xD

Thank you Anna for keeping us in the loop. I hate that Danny is sad and I fell in love with DKDKTV which always shed light on things that foreigners didn't understand. Then I started purchasing from Naked Seoul cause I loved some of the native items. Then came Ramyun and Chill, which was a hit and I invested in hopes for the 2nd season. I started watching DKDKTV in March 2021 and always felt the interpersonal relationship btw Danny and David was strained, almost adversarial, so I didn't really enjoy watching them basically disagree constantly with each other. I felt Danny was kinda weird. It was their content with people like Soobinee, Kelsey the Korean, Anna Lee and Megan Moon that made me enjoy following DKDKTV. The guys were also great when reacting to Kpop videos & K dramas, interviewing Kpop idols or explaining the history of S Korean culture such as the BTS phenomena and history of Kpop. Their dislike of each other made me uncomfortable. I wish them both well in the future.

I'm so sad seeing this video. I recently discovered Dkdktv and I really loved to hear to Danny and David just speaking on random things and giving their perspective. They both are effortlessly hilarious. Also, it was a cherry on the cake when some third person joined the video like Kelsey or Anna or Rachel, etc. I'll miss seeing that content. I think Danny is more of an artist than a mathematical person because he is really uninspired right now. He needs to go traveling for several months or something. Like living in Korea can be draining. Go somewhere on vacation and reset. I know this because the same thing happened with me with my music. It was like over a year until I felt better and was able to get back into it. It needed a break and a better environment.

Oh, Wow! DKDKTV was the first channel I followed! 😢😢 I can understand that after so many 7 intense years they want to do their own thing. I started watching dkdktv in 2017/2018 when they were interviewing ppl in the streets about bts lol. From what I saw, their “downfall” started in 2019 when Danny fcked up bad and lost the trust of his biggest audience at the time which was army’s. And he’s right, he had a big ego at the time and thought he could say and do anything but he learned quickly that he had to be accountable for what he said and did. Kpop blew up around that time and he got a lot of other kpop fans watching his channel so he seemed to be doing fine but I think below the surface things were never the same again.

He and/or David will be back to reporting on kpop in 2025. They built their career off of bts and even used their name to sell naked Seoul products - hats, shirts…whenever they could insert the bts name, they did and Danny even admitted it on several occasions. They’ll be back when bts is back.
