You are so right about the big three making terrible trucks. Toyota has a problem and it’s blown out of proportion. At least Toyota is replacing the engines.
@Levi-mg4nf3 ай бұрын
Hopefully Toyota is able to get this V35A TTV6 to the same ballpark level of longevity as the previous generation UR engine family. 300k-500k trouble-free miles when maintenance is strictly adhered to should be the goal.
@MeynMotorGroup3 ай бұрын
They will continue to iron it out but the 500k days idk about that and at the same time I don't really care about that. As long as trucks in the U.S. continue to have high resale value and have equity left over in 2-4 years of ownership, that's all that matters to me. Just keep cycling through new trucks lease them for cheap let the next guy deal with the issues past warranty.

I drove the ‘24 the other day and loved it. Don’t trust Toyota at this time that this vehicle is going to last with the (partial) recall. The big touch screen looks like a distraction I could get used to. Good review! Thank you.

Funny when people are pointing out the couple flaws that Toyotas have while ignoring that they are 10 fold with some of these other crap companies.

So many recommend their viewers get the 4x4 off road. Why? I don't know the exact numbers, but a substantial majority never go off road, so why advocate for the extra charge for 4x4 when it is not likely to be necessary or useful?
@MeynMotorGroup3 ай бұрын
@@ksorsomeplace better ride quality is the real reason
@ksorsomeplace3 ай бұрын
@@MeynMotorGroup I'd think that independent rear suspension would do more for ride and handling? To my knowledge, the 4x4 option doesn't add anything that would change the ride quality much. The off-road options do, however, alter the ride and handling.

Should people be worry free when getting a 24 ? All or most kinks taken care of in the 24 model ?
@MeynMotorGroup3 ай бұрын
They can be worry free if they plan on leasing and dumping it in 3 years. If people are going to buy this and hang on to it like a family heirloom then they should be very worried

They're supposedly bringing these to Aus but FFS the price it stupid $146,000 before on road costs!

@@MeynMotorGroup Problem is though buddy it doesn't stop there for a Ford Ranger Raptor it's $92,000 and it's mid sized, the best value whilst actually being really good is the Mitsubishi Triton GSR which is the top of the range ATM for $63,840 before onroad.
@MeynMotorGroup3 ай бұрын
@@Excalabur50 Triton seems like decent value for the market sadly it’s no full size but I’m sure many people and businesses can get away with a Triton. All I care for is identifying the best bang for the buck in a market for us Tundra is clearly the best value with lowest price but a disposable lease and dump like the rest.

@@MeynMotorGroup round 2 Kidding Thank you for responding Of course they werent buying the tundra or the sequoia most consumers are driven by what they see and they see JD power bull and ridiculous awards paid reviews and not the facts Dont ask how but i can assure you the 5.7 v8 can run without oil i believe it was the 3 urfe engine the first gen after the upgrades A similar truck lets say ford couldnt leave the shop Tundra did

JD Power is def a joke but it's not even that most people are just married to the Ford Chevy Ram trio Toyota doesn't even come to the mind of an average truck buyer. Most truck buyers have so much money they don't even care they just buy the brand they worship no research.
