Man, I think Star dream Soul OS is not only the hardest but the saddest one to battle, hearing Haltman scream in agony on the final phase is sad. Even if he tried to destroy Popstar, not even haltman would deserve something like that.

The real story of Haltmann is even sadder. He and his daughter, Susie, found a broken Star Dream. After an accident trying to repair it, Susie got sucked into another dimension. Haltmann became obsessed with getting his daughter back. However, prolonged usage of Star Dream caused his mind to warp, and became invested in his company and "Eternal Prosperity" When Susie finally returned, he couldn't remember her directly, but realized she was somehow important to him and made her the company secretary. In the end, Haltmann is absorbed by Star Dream, then later deleted.

I've noticed that a lot of these final bosses show a common theme of hearts. -Marx Soul: -some on his wings -Queen Sectonia: -one on chest (Phase 1, 2, 3) -one on crown (Phase 1, 2, 3) -some on each wing (Phase 1, 2, 3) -multiple on swords (Phase 1) -laser portals seem to have multiple hearts in their design (Phase 2, 5) -each bug minion carries a heart-shaped shield (Phase 2, 5) -multiple on each petal, as well as each flower minion (Phase 4) -Star Dream: -large cracked heart on front (Phase 1) -summons heart-shaped portals (Phase 1, 2, 3) -makes heart-shaped shields (Phase 2, 3) -is completely shaped like a heart (Phase 4) -Void Termina: -it's face (Phase 1, 3) -hearts shown on different pieces of clothing (i.e. belt, shoulder straps(?)…) (Phase 1, 3) -literally is THE heart (Phase 2, 4) -chain of hearts as tail (Phase 3) -portals have hearts in their centers (Phase 3) -arrows, falling spears, and axe have hearts at handle ends (Phase 3) -axe also has a Jambastion logo on the head's sides, which includes a heart with an eye (Phase 3) -(minor, but noteworthy) can possess your friends, requiring you to throw friend hearts at them again (Phase 4) sadly, I couldn't find any for Magolor. let me know if you do! =)

The fight against Void Soul was very interesting out of all the "Soul" bosses I fought against. *SPOILERS* The face that Void Termina is a literal god of destruction that had been slain by 4 spears from previous heroes makes me wonder what said previous heroes were. Also, Void Termina's lore is actually pretty interesting, specifically Void Soul. According to the game's lore Void Soul will return "in other forms depending on whether positive or negative energy is gathered. It seems this being of darkness will wander the galaxy until one day he is reborn into a new existence. When he returns, hopefully it will be as...a friend." meaning that Void Soul could possibly return in a new form depending on whether positive or negative energy was gathered. I'm hoping it's the former, because if Kirby has A LITERAL GOD on his side, that's going to be really OP.

I remember seeing Marx Soul for the first time in a video out here and I thought it was just from a really awesome fan game. Soul of Sectonia was one of the few final bosses I felt bad for defeating mainly due to her backstory. Void Soul is creepy. Probably the creepiest Kirby antagonist I've seen. I wish the Soul bosses were canon instead of being optional bosses.

So as a gift Taranza decided to steal the dimensional mirror which was high above dream land, But he was unaware that the mirror was slowly becoming corrupted due to the presence of Dark Meta Knight being sealed within. In addition, Queen Sectiona would stare into the mirror day after day which in return was slowly corrupting her heart. Likewise this caused her to became obsessed with beauty to the point that she decided to transform herself into something "beautiful". In summary, she is power hungry and cruel mostly due to the dimensional mirror/Dark meta Knight.

Unfortunately, he did as such for so long, that it started to take a toll on his mind, as evident by team Kirby clash deluxe, and him helping Kirby at phase 3 of the final boss. And not only that, but after said final boss fight, Sectonia straight up died, which absolutely crushed taranza's spirit. THAT is awful.

Marx Soul: Having tasted defeat, Marx crashed into the Nova, destroying it and him along with it. But it wasn't over yet, since he wouldn't let it down, Marx still had one last trick. Infusing himself with the Nova's power, Marx's soul took a physical form and showed his inner darkness. Now within a demonic body, Marx's soul would take it's revenge on Kirby. Magolor's Soul: The Master Crown would let go of it's current wearer. The darkerness overpowered him and fully took hold of him, becoming the host of an entity of pure dark energy. Magolor's Soul would see Kirby and his friends destroyed. Soul of Sectonia: Not wishing to be defeated so easily, the soul of Sectonia fused itself to the plant, but it wasn't going to be the end. Freeing herself from the steam of the flower, Sectonia's faced off against Kirby, wanting to see him dead above all things, then destroy his world. Star Dream Soul OS: The Star Dream Machine may have been destroyed, but would not let up. It became more than just a sentient being, it gained a soul of it's own with it's host, Haltman. As a cybernetic lifeform augmented through symbiosis, the Star Dream Soul OS will Kirby eliminated. Void Termina/Void Soul: The Destroyer would not fall easily. Taking a spiritual form, it's soul was now craving to destroy all the positive of this world, and all the rest. Starting with Kirby, and his allies.

Greg Pfab Either him or Bandanna Waddle Dee for a new Kirby rep, who has even less of a chance due to having less unique abilities that can be made into an entire moveset. Marx has so many different attacks and abilities that making a moveset with him would be a cakewalk. Heck, Star Allies basically scratches the surface of what he can do.

ah, watching the sould marx fight and cutscene gives me so much nostalgia, seven year old me used to replay the arena over and over for the cutscene and his scream, i had the biggest crush on him, i remember looking everywhere on the internet for a plushie of him, but i couldnt find a single one, so i had to resort to kissing my ds's screen lmao, i was devastated when my r4 stopped working, not only because of marx, but because i had been stuck for months at 99 percent, probably because i never have been able to finish the cave and the game with dina blade because it kept crashing whenever i tried to continue

I don't care what you say, Return To Dreamland is THE best Kirby game. Everything else aside it also has probably one of the best final bosses in gaming history. The beautiful but chilling violin and the fact that the boss not only uses your own super abilities, but powered up versions of them. Just the combination of the amazing background, godlike soundtrack, memorable battle, and even a captivating story just make the perfect game. I still remember that one fateful day after I got a brand new Wii for my birthday, I went to Gamestop to for a Wii game and I could choose two. My first and obvious choice was Brawl, but for my second choice I had to decide between New Super Mario Bros and Return To Dreamland. I never regretted choosing Kirby. Both Brawl and Return To Dreamland honestly made my childhood. Idk why I just typed a full essay on the KZbin comment section instead of writing my actual essay I have to do, but I just felt like sharing with y'all.
