Prosecutor in the Rittenhouse trial takes the AR (an admitted exhibit), says his assistant "checked it to be sure it isn't loaded," then without himself opening the action to confirm unloaded, raises it and points it in the direction of the jury with his finger on the trigger. In addition to it being a stupid move, he quite possibly broke Wisconsin State law in the process that makes intentionally pointing a firearm at or toward someone a Class A Misdemeanor. Wisconsin statute 941.20c.

Well done Sir, you are correct. Even folks that are pro second amendment forget 1 or 2 of the rules. YOU CANNOT forget ANY of the 5 rules when handling ANY firearm. So, the prosecutor pointing a firearm at the jury is admissible and found to be acceptable in our nations court of law. That is a scare tactic used to make the jury fear for their lives. It's now a hung jury on grounds of persuasion via mortal fear. This attorney is trying everything in the book to get a mistrial so he can retry this case when he has more time to actually build a case against Mr. Rittenhouse. It doesn’t matter if a detective checks it safe, the first rule is treat every weapon as if it’s loaded. You also don’t point it at anything you’re not willing to destroy, you also keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to fire Who is this guy?

So, the prosecutor pointing a firearm at the jury is admissible and found to be acceptable in our nations court of law. That is a scare tactic used to make the jury fear for their lives. It's now a hung jury on grounds of persuasion via mortal fear. This attorney is trying everything in the book to get a mistrial so he can retry this case when he has more time to actually build a case against Mr. Rittenhouse. Despicable for the judge to allow that.

Can anyone help me with a few bits of information that I can’t to find: 1. Was Kyle hired to protect the dealership, or did he volunteer? 2. If hired, by whom-he was 17- 3. If he volunteered, on his own or part of a larger group or organization? 4. How long would a person need to train to effectively handle an AR 15 amid chaos and distraction? 5. Are there others like Kyle? Thank you in advance.

I can't answer all of those questions with certainty, but I can tell you what the evidence would support after watching the trial. 1. It seems he was a volunteer. 2. As I recall he was helping a friend whose father owned the property. 3. It seems he was not part of any type of militia or group according to what I've seen. 4. The type of gun should not matter here, it's about having the composure and maturity to handle a scary situation like he was in. I highly doubt many 17 year old kids have what it takes to deal with that regardless of what type of weapon they are using. 5. Lots of people were armed out there ranging from self proclaimed communists, to anarchists, to looters, to people looking to help. But to answer that question I'd say yes, there are others like him.
