The 16 year old was taken in by another couple & a few months later she was busted for having a joint. She was forced into the Army to avoid prison. That was over 2 decades ago and the state of Virginia refuses to remove her arrest record even though she was a child of 17 when arrested and fought in Iraq. American justice favors the wealthy.

Legally, Treason can only be prosecuted when Congress has made a declaration of war. The last person to be convicted of _treason_ was in 1952, and that was a man with dual Japanese/ U.S. citizenship that had been accused of treason *during* World War 2. Sadly, that is how the law looks at it... while I agree you can be a traitor in peacetime, the law doesn't look at it that way.

I would say a change to the constitution would be to state that the Supreme Court does not over rule the elected government.

They had too much faith that people in the future would be honest and honor all aspects of our democracy. The people in power are the lowest, most dishonorable lot in modern history.
