As a miner a major Trick. Play with the optimal range. For example: Helix vs 4k Rock mostlikly will overcharge instant, go now to the max operate range of the Helix and u will notice u csn put more Power in without overchargeing.

Yes more mining videos please. I found your channel a few days ago and been watching since. I always like and I subscribed. A video with the best spots for mining and refining would be great as well. I am new to star citizen and my buddy bought me a prospector but I don't know where to go or what to do lol. All I know is mining is what I want to do. It so tranquil, calming, and relaxing. Thank you for the great content as well. You and Morphologis are my two favorite content creators for Star Citizen.

Looks like fun, haven’t used the Prospector in ages. I like the Luminalia Livery you used. Good choice taking the C1, that ship is enjoyable to fly. Some people requesting a MOLE video, I have one on loan and happy to use it if you want to get a group together.

Hi Farrister, glad to see this prospector mining again.. for me I took my MOLE out lately cz a bit bored with salvage. I have helix for big rock crusher, Klein for moderate rock, and arbor for small rock.. it does a fantastic job for all kind of rocks. I heard doing space mining is more profitable for multi crew but after i tried it with my friend, the rock is bugged as if its not there tho I can actually see them in front of me.. Maybe you can try space mining at aron halo for the next video?

This is what I've been doing the last few days to take a break from my Vulture. I found an awesome Argo Mole owner help me upgrade my Prospector bags from 32 SCU to 48 SCU. Longer sessions. It's so nice! I like the refinery process and having to ship my own goods. Seems tedious at first, especially since the payout isn't as good as salvage, but it feels more rewarding.

I absolutly love mining in star citizen and enjoyed watching your relaxed video. Please show more mining with multicrew mole. You should also try different lasers with different modules and use gadgets whenever you find something worth.

I can only speak for myself but I honestly appreciate seeing unadulterated gameplay rather than the sped up stuff, including transit time. If I want to speed up I can do that on my end with KZbin myself, but I can't really slow down your sped up footage.

Prospector is the ideal singleship for money making postt wipe, no up friont money needed to start earning, although it wont be much until the stock laser can be replaced. Very enjoyable. Mole bags make for a useful free upgrade if you know a friendly Mole owner, or get lucky and find a broken Mole.

If you wanna mine more consistently, you can go through the Aaron asteroid field just outside of Orison’s system orbit? I find that there’s more prospector sized t2 or t1 ores out there, plus far less chance of getting attacked due to the difficulty of jumping out of warp at the right time. (I try to set up a quantum between Hurston and Arc because the major refineries that offer bonuses to refined ore are out in that direction… namely ArcL2 and MicL5)

Love your videos with the soothing music and chill commentary. I see why use the speed up that often (yt shorts and tiktok has left their mark :D). But I personally would prefer if you only use it during quantum drives and while entering/leaving the atmosphere. Not during flying around scanning and definitely not during mining itself. Another note: Why don't you use any gadgets? Would be interesting for viewers and would have helped for the first rock for example.

This is exactly my run as well when it comes to mining with a Prospector. I hate the fact that Calliope has high winds and moves your ship away, making it almost impossible to mine in a solo Mole xD. I honestly think you got lucky to crack that 12000 mass rock. Also i kinda found Dinyx Solventation to be not worth it that much for the huge added time and slight cost reduction as opposed to Ferron Exchange. Don't also bother with the tier 3 stuff like quartz or corrundum as the return in profit is extremely low for the amount/space it will take in the hold of a ship like the C1 and also the time it adds to the refining process. I'd rather do more runs 3-4 and keep only the t2/t1 content. But i guess to each's own.

It really depends on what you use to move stuff around. A caterpillar will have enough space for t3 materials as well

I'm completely new to this game. I have had my eye on it for several years, but have not really had a serious look at it for a while now and, I can say from what I have seen so far, I'm absolutely blown away. I think that when I finally do buy a game package, which I'm hoping will be very soon, I think mining is going to be one of my most preferred things that I will want to do. One thing I would like to know is, can you do mining without a specialized ship like the prospector, or mole?

Not really - ship mining needs a mining ship, like the Prospector or Mole. But you can rent a Prospector at a refinery deck to give it a try, and ultimately, you can buy one in game. You don't have to buy one with real cash.

If you get close the 100% inert rocks and shoot them. They rescan and the true contents show.

@@Farrister Ya mon. I had a few trips where every rock started as 100% inert. Think it lag or desync or something. Like the un scannable rocks from older patches. Had to shoot them first.

Those 100% inert are a bug, if you wait a few moment more for the server to catch up and the scan to complete it will show the real 'content'

Love the new paint skin, mining has changed so much over the last year or so. but now the prospector can mine much it would be nice if they gave it the bigger bags as standard. did you have any mods running I didnt see any? like the filter or one that helps with the charge window ? if that is still a thing lol

you can see the mining laser configuration on the lower left side. It seems that the Prospector is only equipped with a Klein-S1 Mining Head, which makes sense as the Klein has no Module Slots. Nor does he use a mining Gadget on the Rock.

Hey love the video! ive actually not played almost any star citizen but this was really cool. Question, when you loaded up your transporter with your 2 loads from the refinery, did you have to fly the transporter somewhere to sell it? or you just sold it from the refinery itself?

Speeding up the travelling was a great idea, but with the insane quality of animation and textures this game has speeding up the part when you're getting into the ship was unnecessary.

Yes it does, although there's an optimum which is shown on HUD

Is asteroid mining currently broken? I've been dabbling with my prospector and have gone to Lagrange points to scan for rocks and can't find any I can interact with. Is it just best to stick to planetary mining?
