Prostate Cancer and Genetics with Genetic Counsellor, Justin Lorentz

This video is a recording of Prostate Cancer Canada's February 2023 Coast to Coast Support Group meeting held over Zoom.
Justin Lorentz is a genetic counsellor at the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre in their Cancer Genetics and High Risk Program. He is also the lead of the Male Oncology Research and Education (MORE) Program; a registry for men with hereditary cancer.
Justin is speaking here on prostate cancer and genetics. He did a shorter presentation for us during our 2022 Prostate Cancer Virtual Conference.

In Canada (BC, in my case)… can genetic testing be completed on prior biopsy samples? If so, for how long after biopsy are these samples kept that could be used? Conversely, is a new sample always required for genetic testing?
