Vivica’s character had noble intentions on letting the world know about child prostitution but having someone play the role of a “real victim” and then a posier gets killed for being “insert name here”. Afterwards she claims all the money from the fact she manipulated others to pretend to be this person and the benefits from it.

They must have really changed the predictability of the show after Jesse L Martin left, because I would have bet my life that at 3:37, the perp would have walked into his motel room, saw the cops, and fled (whereby Det.
