Judging is a part of life. The difference is righteous judging and unrighteous judging. Then there is Judgement. Judgement means judging one to determine a person's ultimate destination e.g. hell. Everyone is crazy, we are not so crazy as to using all money for drugs instead of paying our landlord. I have never met one totally sane person in my entire life, and I’m almost 70 years old. It’s a drug problem that intensifies mental illness here. If they didn’t use street drugs and took medication under docs supervision, they could be like the rest of us. I know crack and meth users who get diagnosed schizophrenic because they get hauled in during a 5 day or 3 week run, smoking, and don’t tell the doctors they’re using drugs. It’s only a mental illness if you are having those symptoms for no explainable reason. But people get scared to tell doctors that for a reason I haven’t had good health care since I asked for help with treatment from my general practitioner, unfortunately, even though I got off drugs after that. The healthcare system should help you get well. not leave with you and stigmatize you. I’ve also seen the same people who came into treatment with cocaine or meth psychosis act completely lucid, intelligent, and normal after 2-3 days. I mean if you use it for 30 years it can cause some permanent paranoia, to be sure, but for most people, it passes.

Then after I learned more about the effects of poverty abuse etc. and took a step back I realized that my upbringing and environment was wrong. I also agree with you that everyone who struggles got something real going on. But we can try to latch on to other things or listen to what experts tell us, Not realizing we’re not really cooperating with them in understanding. I got so mad at them at treatment, when they said that I lacked insight into my addiction. But it can be hard to have insight into your own life, since we’re not objective and, often, don’t know what’s normal because of what we’ve grown up around. These interviews always get me thinking. We as humans thread such a fine line between living civilized, with rules, norms and taboos. On the flip side we have others just living in anarchy with societal rules going out the window and they just make “new” rules as they wish. It’s a new world, and it’s not an easy one. Whenever I peek into this world I feel physically sick and confused. Society can be so easily destroyed and dismantled, because of lack of guidance and mentoring. It’s quite sad and sickening. We have a counter culture all around us and Mark is the one who gives us the peek into it. It’s so hard to watch yet I cannot stop watching. Thanks Mark, these interviews are truly mind blowing.
