One thing you realize with a MacKinnon pro stock is how powerful he must be. He uses a 95 flex, and with the low lie and the flat-ish blade, you have to be an absolute monster to get the shots off that he does. Even to get that much whip with this low lie and the high flex is nuts. And he’s just flexing his wrist. I did find that it was a lot of fun to mimic his shooting style of not pulling the puck to the side and firing, but actually taking a cross over away from the puck and kind of leaning his hip into the shot. Whatever. I’m rambling. I had a lot of fun learning this curve before I sold it to get a new one.

Now that I’ve been able to use my MacKinnon over the course of three games I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the pros and cons. Coming from a pattern that is essentially the Draisaitl, this one is wildly different in every aspect. My release has changed over the years from a more traditional heel-toe to mid-toe and the extra hook allows me more control and accuracy on my shot. Forehand sauce is fantastic, backhand sauce is meh. Toe drags are almost a cheat code because it’s almost like the blade has little fingers holding onto the puck. Have I mentioned release? Good Lord, the puck just explodes off the stick and I’m not normally a big shooter. As I said, I’ve used this stick in three games and have played wing, center, and defense and it felt solid in all three areas. Fit and finish are holding up nicely without even so much as a scratch even after taking draws. All in all, this is a great stick. I will definitely be buying more in the future. I’ll probably go with either the McDavid or Point pattern next.

You should add the P08 to your inventory, I fell in love with that curve when I first got it in like 2013 and used it ever since but it’s so hard to find it today

Really like the p30 from ccm. Sadly it got discontinued late last year. Seems pretty similar with a little more toe. Definitely gonna look get my hands on this stick.

U can get the p30 curve only for the ccm jetspeed 2 stick, I dont know if u wanted one but if u do I can give u a link. But the sad thing is, if your young or not strong it only comes in as 85 flex

Can you do basic colors on the one-off customs in the customizer? Like if I just want a white stick, is that possible?

The only graphic options will be stripe color and name bar. For custom paint jobs it will still have to be a minimum of 5 sticks
