the issue I see is with freezing rain. it will continue to freeze the little cover piece and the actual big cover/hinge. there's another quebec product called Macapuche that solved what I described.

Did you ever open ur hood? Today i opened mine and found that lots of sand and dirt stuck inside the area above wheel. How is urs look like?

Do you leave it on all winter or use it as required? I will get one for my R4P now. I had been thinking about it this year.

You don't leave it on. You use it when you need it and store it after each usage. Ex: if you know there will be a snow storm or freezing rain, you put this on in advance.
