I'm puzzled by the conversion of 1 phase to 2 phase with a simple extension cord? How does this power all of the breakers in your box?
@EVDude
@EVDude Ай бұрын
There's a difference between having two phase vs splitting the same phase on different side of your breaker box. In this case, the cord splits the same phase on both sides of the box, hence why you should not use it to power breakers that require 2 phase (240V). In my case, they're all single phase breakers and do not intend to power anything with 240V.

@@EVDude Thank you for the clarification - is there any concern with overloading the neutral with this config? I'd love to be able to power both poles and all non-240V breakers, but I also don't want to burn my house down 😁
@EVDude
@EVDude Ай бұрын
@@techgeek6848 The neutral and ground are bonded with the V2L, so you have to make sure your transfer switch is capable of disconnecting the neutral from the main panel as you're not supposed to have ground and neutral bonded at two places.

Great job, very helpful. Now, I usually change my own tires but I'm a bit hesitant to do these. I know the jack point is front and back BUT do I need anything special other than the breaker bar, torque wrench, jack etc. I saw a video online with some plastic guide pins or something. I don't remember if we got those in our kits in the trunk. I'll have to check but I do want to change the tires myself as I have summers on RWC mags and winters on the oem mags. We'll see I guess. Edit: here's that video I was talking about, the crown I believe but uses same/similar bolts? kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6Gqg3xrg8mtfZosi=ZwBIZ0EUXnCcLlF2 Will you be changing your mags yourself, do we need anything special? In thisEV with 800 volt structure battery preconditioning seems pointless. To use energy to “prepare” the battery for faster charging means more time charging canceling any preconditioning efforts.

How well does your pricey adapter work? I see a few Leafs at dealerships and wondering how that adapter works on the newer Delta and Schneider Electric based EvGo and EA locations. I own a Spark EV with CCS and I feel orphaned since the newest DCFC don't work and just spouts off cryptic error codes that leaves support bewildered yet completely uninterested in my plight.

Thanks for reviewing and posting about the bz4x, this and earlier videos. I'm coming from a 2019 Tesla model 3 and considering getting a 2023 bz4x limited with about 38k miles. I dont really need the fast charging and I've even lived with a Ford Focus EV with 50miles range as a daily driver. Totally I've been on EVs for about 9 years now. So I think I have the right expectation for the bz4x. Any gotchas I should watch out for 2023 bz4x limited with 38k miles, for about USD26k? One of our reasons for the switch is the space (toddler and infant) and how bad the ride quality is in the Tesla M3. Other option is Tesla MY, which I think would be best to go with a brand new rather than a used. Then I'm not really comparing the same $$ value. Anyways - thanks!!
