TNP Patreon is where the action is! Lots more videos and action over there...never too late to join and support the workload: www.patreon.com/Nutnfancy. Here's just some of the comments from TNP Patrons on this video that was posted over there earlier: "David Knifer Excellent info in this episode! 2 2w The Nutnfancy Project Glad to hear that 2w Ryan Reese Loved it. Fun and refreshing TNP video. Definitely opens my eyes to some holes in my system and training. All very solid info to retain. 3 2w The Nutnfancy Project Really helpful skills shown here. I have a couple of other episodes coming too. 3 2w Todd Strelka This is such a great video and I have learned a lot. It would be great to train with Jared personally. Glad he is local to Salt Lake City where I am. Thanks Nutnfancy for providing this information. I have a Serpa holster for OC, but I haven't used it in a while. I will have to check out the Safariland holsters. I am carrying IWB, but with a larger firearm with more rounds capacity. I like having the element of surprise. 4 2w The Nutnfancy Project Yes, the carrying concealed is its own retention level! I mostly do that. The SERPA is still a good holster and I will continue to use them. I mostly think of it in WROL though where allowing bad guys to close to you w/o engaging is less likely. The Safarilands above are definitely stronger though! Thanks Todd. 3 2w Load 2 replies Patrick Brichta The juice is loose! I was wondering what happened to OJ just the other day oh, it's great seeing him back on videos again 3 2w The Nutnfancy Project Yep, it's good to have him back. 3 2w Michael B warner I'm with you on Bitchute Nutn I'm looking forward to seeing what you have planned for that👍 1 2w Michael B warner Big thank's for this video BTW this has been a big fear with open carry for me personally. For this reason alone is why I always opted for deep carry. Those guy's are BAD DUDE'S I would want to mess with them in a dark alley lol. I'm going to use this as a baseline to practice these techniques. These are some skills I definitely want to have. 2 2w Michael B warner That's a sweet blade he carries. The blade is made out of Bohler N690 steel. I just ordered myself on lol. 4 2w Adam Boyd Tell us about it in the forum when you get it. I'm thinking about getting one too. 2 2w William Holzer It's great to see OJ back in TNP. Great video. I learned a lot. 3 2w Rob B Legit video Nutn. 1 2w Connor Murphy Oh, man! It's great to have OJ back in the Project! I think the last time we saw him was in the MMA vs Streetfighting vid circa 2014 or so. 1 2w STLParkRanger13 Wihongi is a BAD dude. He does all of this stuff so fluidly. And it's not particularly easy; his level of physicality allows him to move like a praying mantis. I would not want to be the bad guy that picked shit on a call he was responding to. 1 2w Joooosh I’d pay 💰 for more videos like these 1 2w Casey Jones Excellent vid. This showed me how I can utilize previous training in with protecting my gun. 1 2w TheProgressiveRedneck Very good video. I think Funker Tactical did a video also on this subject a few years' back. 1 2w Tacticaldoodle I still haven't open carried, hopefully I never have to. I need to get some wardrobe pieces that make me look like a sniveler or facebook jockey, would a Kony 2012 shirt put out the "I'm absolutely unarmed and pacifistic"? 3 2w bcbrin TNP Patreon pays off again! Started training BJJ almost 10yrs ago specifically to complement carrying for self-defense. Coincidentally just picked up a Safariland ALS holster for the Glock 35, which is more of a GTW setup than anything, but is a welcome improvement over the Serpa design. 2 2w Piotr Fraczek Good tips. Made me change my EDC blade placement. 1 2w RowdyRon Wow, that was absolute gold. Thanks to OJ and Enos. Great video topic Nutn. 1 2w Michael Rodman Good to see OJ again I still train doing the hitman drill you guys did back in the day. This was a GREAT informative video and definitely something you want to know open carrying. Love to knife as well might have to get one of those in the future, every time I see one of those type daggers I think of “Rambo: First Blood Part II” 2 1w Jonathan-James Your speakin my language Michael. Rambo talk goes straight to my soul. 2 1w Load reply Racing Psychosis I differed with you on the open carry thing in public. At my size and age, I'm not going to intimidate anyone. I want to be concealed the majority of the time. Especially now where there may be civil unrest and LEO's who are a bit nervous and jumpy. If I open carry in public it will be a Safariland ALS, no way am I using other non-retention holster. I hate the SERPA and that trigger finger release. Around the ranch/outdoors, I'll open carry in something like a Bravo Concealment, but that's not in public and has enough retention for the outdoors. 2 1w Racing Psychosis Reminds me of the series of videos that John Lovell "Warrior Poet" did with Craig Douglas at Shiv Works on close in encounters of pistol handling and using something like a TDI or the clinch pick in close. 4 1w Load reply Nathan P Hubsch Really good, really simple. Keep out simple stupid. A moto to live by. 1 1w Nancy Merrell-Robertson Officers Jared and Enos are the coolest. I thank them for their service and dedication. They're perfect video partners for Lt. Col. Nutnfancy. 1 1w Nancy Merrell-Robertson I will watch this segment MANY times! (My husband says don't EVEN think I can practice on him.) 1w Robert Ring Great content. More of these please Nutn! makes me realize how much our Department training is lacking. 1w Tex Open question, what would be good options for weak side edged weapons? 1w Tim Talbot Nutn, you're a mind reader! I was just re- watching your open carry video and it got me thinking about both retention and defense against unarmed threats. 1w Matt Great vid on retention. Good to see some of the previous TNP cast members back. 7d David R Benkendorf We are actually issued the Serpa Level 3 with finger and thumb releases. With a lot of repetition, I don't find it to be an issue. But it was one of their lower-riding holsters with a spacer, and while that made for a nice draw, it made the grip constantly snag on the way in and out of patrol vehicles, and the mounting screws were the weak point. After it popped loose on a stop and I looked down to see it had rotated around to point up at my face, I switched to a high ride mount and no spacer. It took an adjustment for drawing, but high and tight is nice. In addition to not catching on things as much, it is a bit harder to grab at, and there's less play in the movement. You wouldn't be able to crank the muzzle out that far and get your arm underneath, but it takes less angle to jam the grip into my side, and now it puts torsion on the belt more than the mount. 1 6d Nick Campbell Welcome back OJ!! Great video. 5d William R. Stevens III Wow I’m so pumped to see OJ back!! Especially when I made the comment about him when u were putting on the hitting display at the cage!!!""

Great stuff.. Welcome back to Jared and Enos.. My knees are hammered too, from a lifetime of racing Motorcycles.. Many old injuries coming back to haunt me.. Running pounds my knees hard, so I started riding mountain bike.. Great therapy/exercise for bad knees, without the impact of running on joints.. Now, after biking, I can actually do some running again.. MTB riding would be a great addition to TNP.. It combines fitness, bike techno stuff, riding skills, and outdoor adventures..

Nutn, your vid(s) that go into the importance of physical fitness have huge bearing here. Aside from his weaponized mind, Jared's physically would best most people even if his technique was not on point. I think for most people, who have the misfortune of being in this situation, there is going to be alot more of the "dirty" techniques of head-butting, gouging, elbows, knees, etc. that were briefly mentioned. You will be in for a fight for your life. Train hard and think smart. Glad to see Jared again. Great vid.

The holster breaking is an extremely common problem with blackhawk and fobus holsters. If you are open carrying, the minimum standard for a holster is safariland. They are the gold standard in the law enforcement community, and should be for the civilian gun community as well.
@CallsignWulf4 жыл бұрын
Give me a Safariland for each of my different model guns then I'll use them. Until then, I'll keep using my Omnivore with the TLR. Even if the holster breaks off, the bad guy still has to get the gun out of it, likely using two hands. If the holster just completely shatters, well. I don't know. I've hard used holsters and that would take a lot of force. I've dropped straight onto them and done tons of "tactical" movement, with no issues.
@mattjohnson55854 жыл бұрын
CallsignWulf I hope you understand how utterly stupid that sounded. I have two different full size guns, have two safariland holsters. I’m sorry you can’t afford to buy proper gear for yourself. A good holster is the mandatory basic.

People should learn how to use a blade. Either as second weapon or prison style.

Agree...I took a couple edged weapon classes and it was a brutal eye-opener. Makes me NEVER want to get in a knife fight. Nobody leaves a knife fight without bleeding and tendons sliced apart...just depends who got it worse. We did an exercise with paint-covered rubber knives to see where you and your opponent got hit...just brutal how quick you can get killed. Based on that class I use push/punch knives as a secondary weapon to get someone off of you and get some distance so you can transition to your pistol and get a thumb-pectoral based close-in shot to their center-mass. I think the trainer busted out a pusher here.
@mrd70674 жыл бұрын
@@90whatever Yes he did (they are illegal here unless you have a special licence for it eather as a hunter or as a leatherwrker). Was it a "knife duel" based class? There is also a difference between a knifefight and a stabbing. A real eyeopener is when you stab a pig which is highly recommended if you have never done it. You can get a butterknife through the ribs but it won`t penetrate a tshirt for example.

Your “get-off-me-knife” should be 2 to 3 inch fixed blade and carried horizontally with a rounded normal tip and carried in the off-hand position. You simply secure the wrist and apply pressure cut through the assailants inner elbow crease or inner forearm severing the tendons and nerves. One quick deep cut no permanent injury, and end of story. Nothing fancy just effective. And yes I’m an arnis instructor so I know what I’m talking about

One of the reasons I like a snub nose revolver is it is difficult for someone to twist out of your hand. Also revolvers can’t be taken out of battery like a semi auto. If you open carry you are no longer at the “gray man”.
